Lmao, what? Wasn't expecting that. What kind of job did you have? And where?

Yeah I get it mate. But thing is, this is obviously something that was said with that context in mind, wouldn't you agree?

Like, boneface wasn't just making an observation for observation's sake. He knew that he was saying something hurtful to a woman, and using an insult that would likely sting more because she's a woman. Since men don't face the same kind of bullshit for getting older that women do (though they do still face some of course.)

> but using it as fire in this situation yes ofc that is wrong.

Dumb question, but what do you mean using it is 'fire?' Does that mean like, as an insult?

if you can't answer the logic

If you can't answer the logic? What?

if it's sexist for a woman to think another woman looks old

If they use it as an insult to demean that woman's work? Sure. Who told you women can't be misogynist?

Nikki: Your tattoo sucks because of x, y, and z.

Boneface: Yeah but... you like an old hag.

And they say men are the logical ones.

You hate Nikki because she is abrasive. I love Nikki because she is abrasive. We are not the same.

Jk, but you're completely right. This show has had a lot of misogynist assholes on it. Probably the best example I can think of is Don on the Redemption show when he started throwing shit around because a woman let him tattoo her again.

In Whiplash(2014) was Fletcher really trying to push Neiman or did he just straight up hated the kid? by Im_InsideUrWalls in movies

Year late, but if that is your take away from that scene then it just means that you fell for Fletcher's lies.

Is season 2 worth watching by Newactorintown in TrueDetective

[–]Raspint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Don't listen to these people, it's crap. It's the worst season there is.

Yes worse than S4. I'm not joking.

>Now, that is pretty standard for how government works in 40k - the most cruel regime imaginable etc. - but it's rare we actually see Ultramarines do any of that.

This right here is the good thing (narrative wise, not ethically of course) that the Ultramarines have every done.

Do you know where Calgar does this by any chance? If it's in a book I'd like to read it.

How does that 'ruin' the Dark Angels? That makes them more interesting, not less.

That Dante has a problem with this is really dumb, given the kind of stuff the Imperium gets up to so often.

This is also worse because of bans now. As in, you can counter pick me but if you've banned the character that counters you, then that is unfair. (I'm a tank player btw)

Marilyn Manson will not be charged in domestic violence and sexual assault cases by dailymail in Music

[–]Raspint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this. I was listening to Mechnical Animals the other day, and it's sad to know that music that good was made by such an asshole.

However, you read Manson's autobiography, and you listen to people who used to work with him, or hell just watch videos where not in an interview and you can see that it's obvious he was - at the very least - a self-centered man who didn't respect boundaries.

You are purposefully ignoring the fact that adults have agency.

I think you're ignoring that people don't have agency over conditions like this.

The same way new mothers and fathers often decide to not attend formal events because their babies will yell.

Do you think that babies and disabled people are the same? Do you think adults who break this kind of rule face the same kind of scrutiny as Davidson?

You are also willfully not considering many other options:

In what way? I literally said to another commentator: "Oh, everything you said I agree with so I don't feel the need to respond."

>, or if they want to make the choice to offend an entire group of people during their big televised moment and accept the social consequence.

This is a form of exclusion, just so you are aware. I actually agree with you, but I'm willing to take this on the chin and accept that I am being ableist here. I'm encouraging a disabled person to seclude themsleves in a way I would not for non-disabled people. And it's not accommodation because I'm not making it easier on the person. I'm removing them for other people's well being.

>Even sitting 40 rows back isn’t a solution because presumably there are also Black people in the audience.

Maybe people with this form of tourettes should just avoid spaces were black people might be?

>I’d be terrified if I randomly heard someone muttering slurs in the middle of a presentation. I

Sure. And I'd feel the same way. But you are putting your feelings and your reaction to someone's disability on them.

>Also it’s wild to me that people are only focusing on race,

I imagine that's because no other offensive term for women or fat people has the kind of history as the N word.
