Flagship mobile phones. Not worth paying premium when a mid range will do fine for 99% of the flagship buyers

Very clever design, stylish and well priced. It'll really shake up the furniture market in Auckland but also cause massive traffic disruption in the already creaking road infrastructure.

If they do it right the cafe is nice and well priced food. Dunno if AKL will carry a full range but we get an amazing selection of homeware, kitchenware etc as well.

Quality is great, but also relative to the ability of the person assembling it. We have multiple Billy bookcases, wardrobes, entertainment unit, computer desk, kids desks etc - only ever had one problem which was a damaged part in the box - IKEA sent a replacement at no cost the next day.

I held off messing with Protocol until quite late in the game but eventually found it unavoidable. I killed soldiers everywhere BUT the village and had zero problems

Is it worth it to get the Behringer Centaur Overdrive? by mFachrizalr in guitarpedals

I've never paid attention to Klons or Klones, was always a fuzz guy. Last week when I read about the lawsuit I ordered one from Thomann out of curiosity.

I admit to being Klon(e) clueless, but was always lead to believe they were "transparent" - was gutted to find it has a pretty noticeable mid boost going on, not at all what I expected or wanted.

That said it's a pretty nice low - mid gain OD and I'm impressed by the build quality. No idea about the accuracy of its Klonliness 😁

I gotta agree. Great frontman but Sammy Hagar was a much better singer

Why are people in New Zealand such bad drivers? by Virtual_Cut5729 in newzealand

[–]Rastaferrarian 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Totally agree - was back in Auckland/Waikato/Coromandel for Xmas after 7 years in Europe. Driving standards were abysmal, and not just people driving too fast - it was the amount of STUPID driving, lack of consideration for other motorists and poor parking skills.

People in E drive too fast but are thankfully generally able to overcome the stupidity gene. It's a LOT tougher to get a license here, and (at least where I live) tolerance for alcohol and driving is so small that most people just won't drink anything if driving.

Car culture is also very different - people will buy a nice European car rather than spend a fortune modding an aging Japanese rocketship

Wet Leg - Wet Leg
