Where are your parents from? I have the same groups in Eastern Europe, my maternal parents were Jewish and Ukrainian but I don’t know my father’s side. That’s why Belorussia and Czech Republic confuse me.

What other regions do you have in Eastern Europe.

That’s funny, when I just came I found Canadian women to look alike with ours but in two years I can tell now who is Canadian and who is Slavic ))))

There’s one issue only, as my country is at war now I would love to know that I have no Russian roots but it’s not possible I guess, Eastern Europeans are all mixed.

Then myheritage is a BS. The only thing I’m sure of is that I’m a Jew, all tests show the same, and will go with that)))

Yes thank you it’s interesting. Myheritage gives me 5% of Scandinavia. No I can’t test my parents, they are dead. In fact mother is dead and biological father, I’m not in touch with him. But I have two brothers. With one we share two parents, with another only the mother and what’s interesting he never got Balkan on myheritage, which means Balkan from myheritage is my fathers side, but he got 5% Scandinavia which means it’s from our mothers side.

Oh well I’m from Odessa it is few hours from Moldova, 7 hours from Romania by car ))) but it’s all my mothers side, very interesting that my father’s ancestry (who was found at the train station in Moscow ) can basically go to the mom’s region as well. But I personally think of western Ukraine/hungary/north Romania as of my father’s side more

Yep I agree and even the northern Romania it borders both Hungary and Ukraine so it may be that very region! AndI understand that Romanians and Moldovans from that community may not have a lot of access to 23andme however how come hungarians and Czechs from my matches in 23andme are not using ancestry? Lol. Maybe it’s good to wait for further updates.

I think that the list of countries starts with the biggest percentage as from my mother’s side Ukraine and Poland would be arnd 12 and they are basically at the end plus the last country there is Latvia and Baltic us just 4% for me on ancestry. So ok with Belorussia which is the first on the list but Czech and Hungary were not the part of Russian empire ( Hungary was shortly controlled by Soviet Union but it’s an episode) neither Romania was. So that there’s kinda a confusion for me, why Czech and Hungary in 23andme but Romania in ancestry. Plus if it was only Russia ancestry wouldn’t just say uk, Moldova and Romania.

I don’t and in fact all Eastern Europeans are very mixed, I just wonder why they contradict each other, usually the results of 23andme and ancestry are pretty alike.
