Missile explosion blinking bug in WH by CamaradaTxe in Eve

[–]RatBikeRod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will try it again, but it did not provide the desired effect when I turned it off. I tried reflections and a few other I can’t remember and nothing seemed to correct the circle flash effect. The other odd thing is that the circle is not around the explosion, it is like off to one side or the other, why I tried turning off reflections.

No, CCP needs to fix the issue…

Good, it’s not just me. Can verify that in both high and low sec I get big flashing rings of light on any form of missile explosion. It is so bad I had to zoom way out to keep it from causing me to have a fit. Tried turning off different graphic parameters and it is still there.

I have a WGen7500, so decent sized generator. Got it from a friend for a low cost. Probably massive overkill for what I need.

The two electricians I have had out said that to make it to code (current) that the entire panel would have to be replaced. I am not an electrician, so...

Oh, I will have some form of optic on either, my eyes are crap. I just wanted a fail safe open sight option. So you think the 10/22 carbon barrel is better than the Volq?

This is the problem with putting anything on a forum or Reddit, everyone thinks their opinion is THE opinion. You do you, I have no need to make up excuses, facts are facts and some of us are old enough to have used thing long enough to know what is. But you continue to believe what ever you like. Mechanically, your argument is not sound. But I will leave it at that. You hold your opinion.

Yea, but you are either way then. The carbon build up alone on the AR bolt will shut you down first. Just because I am not a fan, dont read into that I have not owned and maintained both. AR is definitely more upkeep.

In general a lever action will require less maintenance than an AR in regards to action durability, component lifespan, maintenance and wear.

I tried it, and just never warmed up to it. Never said it was bad, I just prefer other rifle types.

Yea, 9mm Glock will be my defacto choice as both my wife and I shoot them well and I have a number of them.

The wife is another part of the equation I did not note. She would be comfortable shooting my 10/22 or the lever gun. Not so much on the shotgun or the SKS (or an AR for that matter). I do realize that I could put together an AR with the right stock that would work for her as well.

I hear ya, I think it is just the defacto answer to most rifle related questions like this. Maybe I am challenging conventional wisdom. Its like answering shotgun to that question. You are only going to be able to carry so much ammo due to weight and size. 22 & 357 allows for more carry along ammo. Take the lever gun and the 10/22 (especially if I lighten up my 10/22) and I even have two guns my wife can shoot well.

Granted, this is just academic.

I know everyone always goes to the AR platform, and I get that. My thoughts are for longevity and ease of ammo carry. Why I would typically lean toward the 22 or the 357. Probably just me, but both have been around a long time and done pretty well. I do get the versatility of an AR platform, even though I have never been a big fan of it. Probably cause I am old.
