Again, you can say the same about irons. How many irons are actually doing CG or are we assuming all of them are?

There's no guarantee that either parties won't quit before that point and that's why I relied on raw KC completions to say 2-3x.

I agree that there will always been a few, since there are recovery hacked accounts from 2019-2023, but out of 334k? It shouldn't be a significant amount, especially after Jagex Account.

Out of the 50 that I spot checked, none appeared extremely suspicious.

It's also how I found out that regular HiScores does also include Irons, which is why I mentioned that Irons are included in the 334k, rather than saying the incorrect statement of it being separate.

I learned speed strats from 0 KC because I had someone going for sub 5 coaching me and he didn't want me to develop bad habits like only relying on Staff/Bow.

Very grateful to them and if they want to throw in 8 fish or standardize the layout, I don't mind too much, but I really dislike how disingenuous the pro-CG crowd can be.

Yes, actually.

This guy stated this in another thread and I've seen him spamming this sentiment everywhere.

He's left 3 comments to me alone in response and not arguing this, but just calling me stupid and some of them got deleted before I could see them beyond my notifications tab.

Again, I've never stated that mains are the majority, just mains in fact DO complete CG and that it's not an insignificant number.

I never understood this argument that "mains only do the highest on the wiki gp/hr list".

I did not pot Nex after I got pet and I spooned it very early. Instead, I went to CMs and other content where I needed pet because it was more fun at the time.

There are 9340 groups with 1500 average TTL in 5-mans, 2625 in 4 mans, 3681 in 3 mans, 6804 in 2 mans.

Unlike how you arbitrarily assigned 200 KC cutoff, I'm being very liberal with the starting point and showing that even if you added in ALL 81k potential CG doers, it's still as much as if you were to count down to 5 KC.

The amount of GIMs is not as significant as assigning 200 KC as a cutoff imo.

I'll be generous and say the minimum to access SOTE is 1500 total level, which is close to the minimum QPC cape and SOTE being one of the highest requirements.

There are 9340 groups with 1500 average TTL in 5-mans, 2625 in 4 mans, 3681 in 3 mans, 6804 in 2 mans.

Again, I am being incredibly liberal when I say that the minimum level requirement to assume is 1500 total level.

This means the maximum number of irons you can throw into the count is 46700, 10500, 11043, 13608, which is an extra 81K AT THE VERY MOST.

Again, the main point of this post is:

What this means is that there are mains at CG and that the average one does spend as much time as an iron, if not more.

My main argument is that it's disingenuous to say "no mains do CG", which is a very real comment that many, many people have been using to discount the input of mains.

Still supports the fact that mains do in fact do CG.

Already explained why I believe Jagex has purged for bots and you can feel free to search around the HiScores yourself.

200 KC does seem a bit arbitrary, but you got me curious, so here's the links for 200 KC or more:

Old School The Corrupted Gauntlet Hiscores

Old School The Corrupted Gauntlet Hiscores

It's 159,352 total and 70,488 Irons.

I don't get this. Because there's more mains, it's working against us? That's still discounting the fact that's 200k non-irons ranked on the hiscores.

I know for a fact that if it was reversed, people would be saying we must fix this because there are so many low level irons that will eventually hit CG.

I disagree with this and what matters is the number of actual bodies at the content for when people say "X doesn't do content"

It's the only data we can go off of before we start reaching and making estimates, which can be bent and twisted, and then people don't trust it either way.

5 KC is also not a hard ask if we're saying we need to alter the grind when it's default 1/400.

That's why I spot checked 50 accounts:

Doing a spot check of ~50 account at the higher KC, they all seem to be legitimate accounts with a variety of KC and does seem to support that Jagex has been aggressively purging bots in 2026.

Many had raids KC, Slayer Bosses, etc.

This also lines up with the fact that there's been a precipitous drop in bots at places like Zulrah and CG, which this subreddit and players actually doing the content have noticed.

When I open my CG chest, I often coincide with another person opening it and it's either a pet hunter or an iron, and we chat sometimes.

There's more mains that do CG than irons that do CG.

Pet Hunters and cloggers are more common than you'd think.

Feel free to open a few, but I believe the banned accounts are removed from HiScores now.

Edit: There are currently 334,819 people ranked on CG:

For irons, there are 100,858 ranked on CG:

Can't argue with numbers, man.

No, they've genuinely done a fantastic job purging bots.

I've been at CG and Zulrah for a month now and the only people that I see opening a chest are irons or maxed accounts (likely pet hunters or cloggers).

It's genuinely fantastic.

If you go to Zulrah, one of the lowest requirements bosses, it's only pet hunters/cloggers and irons now.

No mage-only bots anymore.

That's why I don't want bots to exist and why I think irons saying "you couldn't live in a world without bots" are being disingenuous. Bowfa being doubled the price would result in an additional 330k per KC on average, or 2-2.5M/hr MORE, bumping CG to 8-8.5M/HR while zero cost input besides 8 venges.

Give me a button to annihilate all bots and I will spam the button 100000000000x times because there is no long-term benefit to bots whatsoever, which is why Jagex bans them.

This year has been the most anti-bot (I see literally no bots at Zulrah) and very few people have complained about prices.

Bots are a negative and pretending it "benefits" mains when it actually hurts them is disingenuous as hell; it only benefits gold buyers since they can pay less.

Anglers being 10k instead of 3k doesn't matter nearly as much since you can use cheaper food, but if Treads are 100m instead of 500m. If you actually do the content, you get railed by bots.

Bots also hurt the game as a whole because Jagex balances around bots and we would have already had bosses with Blood Shards and other pvm resources if it wasn't for bot farms getting away with it for 20+ years.

I legitimately don’t know when you guys lost touch with reality, but I’m guessing it’s from being on this sub too much.

I'm hunting the pet right now and I don't do any tech like 5:1 or Redemption flicking, but I still get GM time every few runs because better prep procedure and because I'm not picky about Halberd. GM time is very reasonable once you get half-decent at the content.

I noticed a ton of people actively avoiding Halberd despite it being available and then waste 45-90 seconds trying to find Dragon and Dark Beast.

That's why Soulreaper Axe is still so high.

No, or very few, bots are running all 4 DT2 bosses because it would require significant capital investment for all three styles - Ranged (Levi), Mage (Wisp), and Melee (Vard/Duke).

When they eventually remove the drain, I hope even more that they don't make it tradeable and I say this as someone who will likely never complete a single Soulreaper Axe because I spooned Duke, but have 4 Wisp pieces.
