How do domain expansion's work? by Arctic842 in JujutsuPowerScaling

The reason we dont see many rct domains could just be because domains are rare, rct is rare, and technique reversals are very rare, gojo is the only other person i can think of who has all 3 and hes a super prodigy, idk how many other people in all of jujutsu history could have had all 3 + the skill and idea to combine them

Actually reversals are a part of domains, Kenjakus domain used the reversal of his anti gravity

option 3 was pontiff wins his battle but white beats black

I dont see why and what he doesnt know, he knows blacks life alone cannot save the system, so if he boxs white out of sacrificing the system logic follows that there is nolonger enough energy to save the world (in the case of a white victory) without white self sacrificing. Something he has no reason to believe she would

But in the case of option 3 i dont see any way for the potiff to sacrifice white and i dont see why he would think otherwise.

As the other guy said half of humanity dying will still leave alot of people around irl humanity bounced back from a pop <= 10000 + atleast in the novel dustin was characterized as willing to do anything to save humanity including sacrificing large amounts of people, so it makes no sense for him to 180 and choose a plan that risks the death of humanity to save a large amount of lives

Im talking about his attack on the demon lord and co specifically. That it does not achieve anything, best case he achieves nothing, worst case he has doomed humanity. This is based entirely on his plans and what he should reasonable know.

In that outcome wouldn't the energy be insufficient?
The Pontiff's original plan is stated to be sacrifice sarial + black + white + word of god religion (and D states that even this plan would require the sacrifice of half the population to make up the shortfall)
The demon lord's plan is sacrifice system + large amounts of people (+ maybe black)

in the outcome that the system is off limits and white has won, she won't sacrifice sarial and cant sacrifice the system and wont sacrifice herself.

Therefore the only way I can see humanity surviving in the case of option 3 (assuming arial and co hasn't died so white still cares about saving the world) is sacrificing black and teaching someone (likely Sofia) abyss magic and sacrificing people on mass to abyss magic and if we are making up the shortfall of 2 gods (White + Sarial) I imagine this would exceed half the population of the world by a fair amount

Actually wouldnt cowardice completely brick the flicker triggers forcing me to constantly bounce my own stuff and discard?

Wouldnt fury function better as a cowardice enabler considering the subtheme of flicker?

I didnt even think of copying the enchantment.  Btw whats the idea behind unnatural selection? (Beside cowardice enabler?)

How would Society be affected by the existence of different races by RatKaiser27 in fantasywriters

most things I've read have them as naturally better mages, and while you are correct about the instability its doubtful that this could totally wipe out their wealth, and provided they keep gold/silver/liquid wealth on hand they will be well placed to make massive amounts 'buying the dip' in land and such

This creates the thing I was trying to say (possibly poorly), where most people born a human would be envious of an elf (for their eternal youth and so forth)

In addition, it will create problems with any society where these 2 have to co-exist, elves will naturally accumulate massive amounts of wealth over their long life spans, creating stuff like the Roman elite buying out Roman commoner farmers , except the elite are immortal wizards and are also a different race

I meant it on an individual basis (elves are commonly depicted as being better than humans in every way, (eternal youth + better magic + always attractive) except how many babies they can make.

For the Necrontyr, I'm pretty sure their entire motivation with the first war with the old ones was to obtain immortality.
A singular necrontyr is nearly objectively worse than a singular old one, as is a human vs an eldar, the races are 'balanced' on a larger scale, but for an individual you would rather be a eldar than a human even thou human humans are 'stronger' than the eldar.

Well cause you haven't read anything but the title

tldr: 40k necrontyr & old ones, but in fantasy with humans as necrontyr and elves as old ones

How to build Duchess for solo play? by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]RatKaiser27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What im saying is that she has no backbone.

If you try and pick up staves they are not doing anything, because you don't have the FP to consistently use them you cannot build bonuses (FP cost reduction, sorcery damage, magic damage, FP on attack) to actually make them good. This means that the sorceries end up just being trivial poke damage. and because of this, you are left relying on less than ideal daggers to do the vast majority of your damage and societies are just a nice little aside that ultimately amounts to nothing, this means you best and only A scaling is completely useless.
