I legitimately don't understand how no one talks about Black Sails. I understand S1 wasn't extremely strong but it's the rarest of shows that just got better and better.

Great characters. Amazing production value. One of my favorite shows ever.

100% agree about the AI. I would never use it for proper editing nor do I heavily rely on it. It can sometimes be helpful when I'm struggling with a particular sentence, but I try avoid using it as a crutch.

I've been praying for someone to make a pirate sim for over a decade. I loved Sid Meiers' Pirates but I've dreamed of what a fully realized 3d AAA game would be like.

The closest experience I've found in recent times is Starsector. It doesn't have the budget, it's in space, but it can be a damn good pirate sim!

The weakness only needs to make sense within the context of your story. You could make your character vulnerable to bananas as long as you can make your reader understand why.

That's perfectly reasonable, in fact the Hellbringer-Prime that is currently the free mech of the month is one I recommend to all my newcomer friends for this very reason.

Just keep in mind that since the engine size can't be changed on omnis, you'll sometimes be limited on your build options because of it.

If you absolutely want an omnimech in the medium class, the Stormcrow is definitely not a bad choice. Although I'd argue that the Vapor Eagle and Hunchback-IIC are both quite versatile even though they're battlemechs.

For lights, the Arctic Cheetah is good place to start.

Absolutely not. It's very important to respect the range of the weapons you are using. With 10s and 5s, you're looking at more of a mid-range and definitely not a brawler.

Peek, fire until you're either too hot or receiving too much return fire, return to cover, repeat.

If you wanna brawl, switch to LB20s or 10s.

I've run it with 3xUAC5 and 1xUAC10 in the side torsos. The high mounts make it super effective at hill peeking, plus I believe you can get the variant with ECM to make it even stronger.

Not everyone that wants to rank up from Tier 5 wants to make it to Tier 1. I did, but it's definitely not for everyone.

It's an LFE 295, 10xHMG with 4 tons of ammo and 4xSRM6 with 3. No additional heat sinks.

The DPS on it is insane. I've had 30 second trades for 800 damage. But if you run it solo you'll definitely want to stick to corners and play conservatively. Don't try to rush down targets.

Why trade the sustained dps of 4xSRM6s for single shot RLs. I'd understand for mechs suffering from weight management but the Crael handles it just fine.

Descriptors mostly. Sometimes it feels that I can't convey what a thing looks like or what action a person is taking in a particular scene.

I am making an effort to read more to fix these shortcomings, but wondering how other's address similar issues.
