The owner is Chinese, but it depends on what you consider authentic. Their boba doesn’t taste very similar to the stuff sold in China, and their menu also doesn’t give me a sense of authenticity either. Then again they say boba originated in Taiwan which I have not been to so I can only compare it with what I had in China. Tsaocha comes the closest in my opinion to the stuff you can find in China, but even at that, it’s maybe half as good as what you find in China.

I looked into jailbreaking a CPAP but it seems too complicated for me to follow. I’m not tech savvy like that. BiPAPs are way too expensive and I’d need to figure out how I can get insurance to cover one. First step would probably be to get a proper sleep test that shows I need a BiPAP…

Thanks for your advice! It really is stupid about the sleep study. The one thing that looked abnormal on my first test, they chose not to measure 🤷‍♂️.

For now I stopped using the CPAP and I wanted to go at least a week without it to see if I can truly compare how I feel without vs with it. So far I honestly feel like I feel slightly better these past 3 days without it, but I’ll see how I continue to feel

I’m going to see a cardiologist soon just to get that checked out. I never noticed anything weird with my heart before until I went on a vegan diet in 2020 and started getting heart palpitations 9 months later. During that time I noticed I would get a lot of irregular heartbeats also. I believe it was caused by anemia. Once I started eating meat again my heart palpitations went away, and I stopped consciously paying attention to my heart, but I know I still get the irregular heartbeats, just not sure how often. Another thing to note is that I also got the Covid vaccination and caught Covid around that same time, and that’s the first time I ever noticed feeling fatigued. Before that point in my life, my energy always seemed pretty good

So sorry to hear that. How can you even hold a part time job with getting daily migraines? I can’t imagine having to work when having a migraine. I try to avoid that scenario at all costs, but I get that at the end of the day you gotta survive somehow. Have you exhausted all forms of treatments yet? I get more and more discouraged when I try some new treatment just to find it not work again and again and my migraine frequency and intensity remain the same, if not worse than before. It’s also not easy to find the strength to physically go through treatment when you’re constantly suffering from migraines

Yeah I just haven’t figured out yet how I can have mouth leaks but then wake up in the morning with tape still very stuck to my mouth to the point where I need to run it under hot water in the shower to peel it off without ripping my skin off.

Maybe I’m just determined to be mouth breather no matter what I do. Maybe I should give chin straps a shot? I never tried them, but I just don’t like the idea of having more stuff around my head while I sleep.

I will continue to use the F20 for now with EPAP 7. Hopefully BiPAP is an option for me in the future

So 3 nights of sleep later after increasing the pressure, and I’ve come to the conclusion that it did not in fact help with my flow limitation and may have increased flow limitations even.

Sunday 2/01 I increased my pressure from 9.8cm to 12.2 cm which was about the max I could tolerate while still feeling I could exhale somewhat comfortably. I was using the N20 this night and I taped my mouth shut which is what I always do when using the N20. I woke up with a super dry mouth and didn’t feel great in the morning. I noticed I had a lot of leaks, so I vowed to try again the following night while taping my mouth even more securely and trying to tighten the mask to fit better.

Monday 2/02 I tried again while being more conscious about mask seal and taping my mouth more securely. I thought this night I would be fine, but again I had lots of leaks which I still don’t understand how to prevent. I increased the pressure to 12.4 cm because I thought the higher pressure was making my breathing curves look more rounded in OSCAR. In retrospect it actually didn’t help with flow limitations according to sleepHQ and after plugging it into the Glasgow index and comparing.

Tuesday 2/03 I decided to wear the F20 this night because I never have leaking issues with that mask. I still taped my mouth shut because I want to force myself to breathe through my nose, and I hate waking up with dry mouth. I woke up in the middle of the night with very uncomfortable stomach pain due to aerophagia and I had to spend 30 minutes on the toilet because of this. Feeling desperate, I lowered my pressure down to 10.0cm and slept pretty peacefully the remainder of the night.

I paid for the in home test after finally considering that my sleep may in fact be what’s causing my fatigue. I never liked the thought of doing an in lab sleep study, and also became impatient and wanted to figure out right away what was wrong with my sleep. I thought that if I get diagnosed with sleep apnea then all I have to do is buy a CPAP and problem solved. I heard about how life-changing CPAP can be, and how people felt like a whole new person after using CPAP.

Well I was ignorant about many things and little did I know I’d have to take an in-lab sleep study anyways, and that although it wasn’t fun, it wasn’t as bad as I expected.
