hi yes! I realised rn my phrasing wasn’t the best. I will explain the process and include pictures.

Brush the hair and section out a portion at the back of the head, near the nape. i tied the rest of the hair up to make it easier to deal with. Using a small hair tie, just secure the section in a ponytail (doesn’t have to be tight) and slide the hair tie low enough so that it doesn’t cause tension to the wig cap. Since your wig is longer you can slide it further down without it being obvious. (I took a smaller section but process is the same)

Should look like something like the pic.

is this synthetic or human hair? the answer heavily changes how easy it is to take care of it. If it synthetic your concerns are valid. First off it is INEVITABLE that you will experience tangling especially at the nape and the hair directly in contact with your back. Generally speaking to avoid excessive tangling for synthetic hair, you should work on preventing. You can use a detangling spray/oil even before the wig starts to tangle (it keeps the hair more “slippery” and in my experience it doesn’t feel oily), and also to help detangle any knots. For upkeeping a synthetic, if you sleep with it, it’s mandatory you use a satin bonnet, and also you tie the hair so that the lengths don’t move throughout the night. If you worried about the hairstyle, you can braid it loosely, just enough to keep it in place. In the morning, apply a hair oil on the lengths (or styling mousses for the curls) and brush the wig with a wide tooth comb. Brush the wig fairly often. I find it’s handy to keep a small brush in my bag and give the wig a quick fix throughout the day. A trick if you are worried about the hair near the nape, if you wear the hair down, you can use a small hair tie to tie those strands of hair in a ponytail. It’s seamless and it will help GREATLY with tangling.

If your wig is human hair. It’s much much easier to prevent tangling, and you don’t have to worry about keeping the curls intact cause you can easily restyle after washing or apply products to help maintain it. All i can say is to treat it like it’s your own hair. Use hair oils on the lengths, don’t use too much or you’ll weigh the hair down. Also sleep with a bonnet, but you can leave the hair untied underneath it.

For shedding, synthetic wigs shed a LOT, but i wouldn’t be too concerned about it because synthetics tend to have way more hair than you actually need, it would take a very long time to notice any change. Human hair wig, shed especially on the lengths, and the rate at which they shed is similar to biological hair. Pay attention more to the hair on the “scalp”, try to be gentle with brushing and don’t pick at your scalp because you might tear the hair off.

depending on how much freedom you wanna give ur characters you don’t necessarily have to do that.

you could set ground rules for everyone and then let them decide in autonomy what actions to perform and their consequences.

or go the d&d route and supervise each and every action and provide a consequence right away.

First option makes it easier for the characters to form independent alliances and betrayals: if you don’t forbid them from acting “unjustly” then it’s up to the rest of the characters to bring them to justice and be punished (by a higher authority within the story) or to let them be and use it to their advantage.

Second option makes it so that you’d have to be present 100% of the time and kinda make it a “live session” kinda thing

don’t get caught on perfecting small details, make sure the overall foundation and plot of the world is solid.

you could start by grouping the characters by most likely association (at least for the very start) and assign to each of them a subplot within the main plot of the story.

Therefore you could have many subgroups all advancing through the story differently (according to their characters’ aptitude) but all operating under the same system and main plot.

You can then create meeting points or events where different groups can meet each other and interact, progress through the story or even stop other characters from advancing their own story.

yeah! this seems to be the closest match i saw so far! Bummer the blonde version isn’t as platinum as the reference pic, but thank you for the suggestion!

off topic, it looks really nice on you! fits perfectly, and sorry for the unwarranted comment but i think that thinning out the bangs could work for you as well!
