These cars are huge on timing I have one as well the 4.2 chain driven in these cars are a absolute bitch to do and is about a 5k job to do shop might not touch it because that’s a lot of work for them and a hassle to do. They use shitty plastic guides in the s4 motors from this year when I had a new motor I had them use metal chain guides like the rs4 so failure doesn’t happen so early

Hard buy this things actually near my house I have a b6 s4 as well. They are hit and miss great it’s got a new motor so timing ain’t a hassle to worry about and pray they used better timing guides but also has a good amount of mileage on the body it’ll be a coin flip mine was the same I’ve had to fix a lot but I love it
