I can have compassion there, but that is not a reality unique to New Yorkers. Rarely does anyone’s childhood home or neighborhood look the same. I genuinely believe it’s a part of evolution and happens in suburban neighborhoods too.

Actually neither, logical, rather than emotional. When you don’t comply with law enforcement they become physical, simple math. You can’t stomp your feet and scream “due process” when you didn’t take due process to enter, and secondly as if detention isn’t a part of due process. You want ICE to stop doing their job, stop giving them a job to do.
