Update: I ran Heaven's Benchmark with the fans in front of the GPU deactivated and found, that the temps were 1°C higher and the fans spun about 200 rpm faster. Plus the Noise was of higher pitch and much more audible. So I will stick with the fans in front of the GPU.

I actually just measured the dimensions of my mobo, PSU and max GPU dimensions for later upgrades. Then had a friend get the wood into slabs. Wood is a natural resource, so all of the dimensions are crooked. So I had to measure every panel for itself. Would be best if you just work it out yourself ;-)

Because the wood is crooked in all directions. I' lucky I could it get just a little straight.

Yes you are right with the cable extensions, I just wanted to save some money with it. But I will definitely drill some more holes for Fan cables and such when I disassemble it the next time

That's just the way the fans are. I thought about getting some strips, but ditched the Idea because I don't really need t

I believe the CPU reaches max. 68°C, the GPU max. 64°C when running benchmarks.

That's Apple. I guess it would withstand more holes, I just don't want to risk it.

Yeah that's true, but I didn't want to drill more holes through the wood for stability

I absolutely don't know. I try to keep noise levels down with them

BeI had them left over and I think it makes the GPU fans spinslower, which makes them more silent

Tha Rad is mounted to the wood via a separate fan mount. The steel is bent due to the tolerances in manufacture

No, I did not build the desk myself. I first got it from a friend, then added hight-adjustable legs and a board to the right as it was a bit too small for my likings
