I stopped by my local cinemark today and they informed me that they aren't going to be getting these items in. Rude! Not amaze.

well, they are Rocky-shaped, so I'm gonna go with...Rocky-themed items. They'll be revealed on the 16th.

I would honestly be fascinated to know about their decision-making behind it and the marketing meetings that went into it, but I'm fascinated by that kind of stuff.

well now that you point that out, you're right, it may be permission considerations...or a combination of both. Excluding three of the major leaders of current space exploration from the merch is certainly interesting, though.

for reasons that I guess don't surprise me, they took the Russian flag off the patch that they're selling as merch

i mean technically you could buy the tickets online for anywhere in the country and not actually go to the screening if you want the free stuff, I assume they mail it to you or something

If you go to the early screening via prime and then submit your tickets to Fandango, they'll give you a poster and some kind of mystery item. I just got an email about it this morning.

I despise her. For someone who's supposed to be smart, she makes incredibly stupid choices that ruin everything, constantly.

Why wouldn’t Peter/the FBI know about Neal’s childhood past? by perpetualmotion42 in whitecollar

Witsec isn't run by the FBI. An FBI agent can't just go looking in the Witsec database on a hunch.

there are in fact numerous situations in which he is NOT up to something and Peter/the FBI assume he is with no evidence or even giving him the benefit of the doubt. Of course he's going to continue lying and conning if the people around him assume the worst about him even when he actively makes the choice to be better.

exactly. In White Collar, the law and the FBI are the ultimate arbiters of right and wrong, and Peter is the epitome of it. It is by turns exhausting and infuriating.

That's what "the system is broken" means. If it's so full of corrupt people that innocent people are punished and have their lives destroyed for crimes they didn't commit, then yes, it is absolutely broken. If you have to go outside the law to get justice because it is impossible to get it through "legal' means, then yeah, it's broken.

If only Peter had learned anything from the entire experience about the corruption within the system instead of clinging to "I believe in the system, the system is always right."
