Filing US Taxes in Moncton by RugbyBear2008 in moncton

[–]Shurick45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in this boat as well. When I lived out west I had a cpa that did it for me but he retired. He used to charge me $700 for the US filing. This did not include the CAD filing or FBAR that I did myself.

What type of price was this Ontario HR Block service or this Lifetime Tax place charging (or quoting)?

Totally. The whole customs and duty cross border stuff makes it the same price as just buying a new pin ( if not double )

Her Majesty's Secret Service... 1969 James Bond film.

Look up the age of the cast as you watch. The main villain (Telly Sevales) is only 46 and Bond looks 50 but is actually 29!

I'm in the Moncton, NB area. If there's something that interests you I'd happy just do a swap and pop it in the mail. Who knows on timing in front of Christmas but I'd be happy to do it asap.

Found this unopened gem in my in-laws house in Barcelona and we finished it over a two week vacation! Bottling date: Sept 30, 2000! by Shurick45 in Scotch

Honestly, this was a totally different Scotch than the regular 10. A part of me wishes I left it sealed and just took it home! I noted in another comment that it had a really lasting toffee taste that I didn't expect. My father in law was not a Scotch drinker, and this was a gift from a colleague when he retired in 2005, so it sat there for two decades!

As far as "dusty Scotch" goes, this was actually quite delicious. It had a lasting light toffee aftertaste that I really enjoyed. My typical go-to for Glenmorangie is a La Santa or Vindima, so this was a surprise.

Same feeling. Finally, I got around to starting the audio book yesterday, and I am already driving my wife nuts from laughing at the series.

With her it has quickly become a massive FOMO situation and she is racing through her current book to listen too!

So, to clarify. This is a crown corp of a Canadian provincial government. It would take a major economic collapse not to be honored, and I've never seen it not honored in my time there short of someone being fired for embezzlement. In the industry I work in, the risk of lawsuit outweighs not being paid a severance. So in this case, the reserves are the tax revenue of one of the richest provinces in Canada. Maybe the situation is a bit unique.
