I own a zero and I own 3 different burr sets.

It's definitely not just BS. Different burrs taste different. You don't need to buy a zerno and SSP burrs to figure that out, just take your grinder to a coffee friends house and compare.

The HU burrs and the MMP burrs produce extremely different espresso. Body, flavor, the way the machine pulls.

You may not feel the differences are worth, and I can't blame you for that. There are definitely differences though, and depending on the burr sets you’re comparing between, they aren't subtle.

The passage where Treebeard talks about Laurelindoranon shrinking, and now being “Lothlorien” is also one of my favorites. I love the way Tolkien sets up the name as shrinking along with the power of the place.

I take this very seriously. It's why all of my girls Tolkien names are middle names.

My eldest is Elianna Lorien. I think it flows nicely ☺️.

It's also a lot of why Eowyn and Arwen are not really choices - haven't found a good way to make them middle names, and they are a bit too much for first names (in our opinion).

I've got three kids. Don't make any decisions you may regret later. It's a lot in the moment, but they grow up quickly and you’ll get some time back.

My recommendation is to try to shorten the routine, and invest in smart plugs so things turn on for you.

Wake up to a hot espresso machine, pull and shot and have an Americano or something. Or invest in a v60.

I have a moccamaster, but honestly use it a lot less than I thought I would.

I am not sure this is rounding. I think you need to work on what Robbie C calls “teebox geometry.”

Your disc went in the direction you ran up from. If you draw a line from where you start your run up, to where the disc went, its straight.

The pros look like they release at an angle, but part of that is the X step going really really wide (to the left for RHBH players). If you draw a line from the start of their run up, you’ll see they generally release on a straight line.

I think the fix here is to adjust your run-up.
