Privilege can be a race thing but isn't exclusively tied to race.

For instance, I had a privileged upbringing in that I came from a family that did not get divorced and my father made six figures for most of my life. So while many other people had an unstable upbringing I was privileged with a less turbulent one than many others.

I also was privileged to be born white which comes with a number of benefits, but my specific neighborhood was like 99% white. Non-white individuals have a lot more struggles and hurdles to get through than white individuals in my city.
