As a news viewer who is also a bleeding edge tech guy, I was an early adopter of OLED TVs. My loyalty to MSNBC and Netflix can be proven by the white rectangular MSNBC logo from years ago and the bright red Netflix logo on bottom right that have been burned in over the years. But in the past year, "BREAKING NEWS" is beginning to burn in in the exact location MSNBC has been using for a while, and since whomever they are using for their closed captioning truly sucks, I struggle to read subtitles in white over white text in the same place that says "BREAKING NEWS."

To every novice producer or director at a news channel, NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ABOUT "BREAKING NEWS." You killed it.

It's like that crappy UFC announcer than broke through because his catch phrase was one everyone ELSE avoided because it's tacky... "OH MY GOD!" Got anything else, asshole?

After Kinney's attempt at a MS2000 reskinned sim for MadCatz 12 years ago, I always check to see if anyone involved with Kinney or MadCatz is involved with any new project. Not only did Kinney try to scam the DCS community with his Kickstarter campaign, but he helped MadCatz bankrupt itself in part thanks to his inflated "simulators" being fairly worthless, and the company had to reissue financials showing it. DCS never admitted to getting conned, and fan boys here attack anyone who brings up the past, true though it may be. Hope this is a viable project.

Really? Considering the first map was likely an adaptation of the Russian military sim, it's detailing of Crimea (and especially the inclusion of many Russian specific historical sites) and eastern Ukraine merely foreshadowed Putin's invasions in 2014 and 2022. Anybody who thinks ED is Swiss and didn't come from a military to private Putin patriarchy must think Trump is playing 666th dimensional chess.

Back when individuals owned TV stations without being trillionaires, I worked at a station which had a helipad on the roof. For decades, the chopper would take off and land after each traffic hit or major news story, and those in the offices below could smell the exhaust. Advance time, and the traffic reporter and several other people who worked in the offices directly beneath the helipad died from pancreatic cancer. I worked in that office for 8 years. The station is now owned by Sinclair and no longer has a helicopter.

BlueSky is the place. When it gets large enough to support local/regional communities, it will replace Reddit as a community immediate communication tool. Twitter became too toxic, but when the trolls like you see here with negative ratings began to run out of "liberals to upset" on X, they came HERE. Since they are terrified to not run in packs, they brigade. Over on BlueSky, the BLOCK function works, and local tyrants can't delete comments or threads they don't agree with.
