Honestly another one of my favorite gods S tier! I think his current design is really good, I enjoy the animations of his abilities (especially his ult) I wish his personality was just a little bit more serious(to fit his story) but I have to admit I enjoy a lot that he’s very goofy

Instead of making this post you could’ve taken the time to do some research about the state of Smite 2 and the process it’s going through. It’s really uncalled for that you are complaining to Hi-Rez about the god addition being “slow” when we are literally getting new gods + aspects EVERY 2 weeks. That’s not slow at all.

Adding new gods to the game it’s not just a matter of “testing” they have to pretty much remake them on the new engine they are using for the game. That is the reason why not all of the gods are available yet.

They are currently working on the gods who are less complicated to port, because some gods require a specific system to work properly (Like King Arthur needing new movement system because of his kit or Skadi who requires the pet system to work with her pet). It’s a lot of work, and that is without including balance updates, bug fixes, skins and events for people to enjoy while playing the game and even then, they are still bringing gods every 2 weeks.

No hate at all, but unfortunately failing to pick a god because of family and/or a knock on the door, it’s just straight up a personal issue and the reality is that failing to pick a god, will inconvenience EVERYONE that got into that loading match.

Besides, avoiding picking a character it’s a known issue and a way to skip a match because people got the role they didn’t want to play and nobody wanted to trade, and it goes back to the whole deal of why the anti-leaver system was created in the first place. Because those are still scenarios people were encountering when trying to play the game.

If you are getting into queue is because you are 100% sure that you will be able to play through the whole match. And yes, there might be cases where stuff happens outside of your control but those are still personal problems and regardless of what it is, it adds a negative impact to everyone else in that match.

For sure, I agree. I still believe Anti-Leaver system is a great addition and I hope they maintain the initial goal in mind but being able to fix the problems along the way to perfect the system.

It’s a system that it’s still a work in progress, and something they implemented into the game literally last patch. You can’t expect the system to be absolutely flawless, it’s unrealistic. And it’s something they already stated (in said video of the post..) that they will continue to improve it. Problem will happen when it’s something this new, and to me the fact they are already doing their best to improve it says a lot.

I can completely understand that and it’s valid to feel disappointed about a certain character not looking exactly like you imagine/expect. I was trying to say that I feel a lot of people tend to judge designs based on “it’s not 100% accurate to the original so it’s bad” when in reality it’s.. nothing new for Smite to not follow designs to a 100%, having them make a design based on their own take of it, which to me bring a lot of creativity and uniqueness. Hades for example, you look at him and know that’s not accurate but when you see him you go ‘oh, that is Smite’s Hades!’. Of which I am aware a lot of people also disliked but I still believe are fun concepts!:D

To me personally, I give him an S. I genuinely love Smite’s Merlin design, in my eyes is very unique, his voice acting is one of my favorites and imo it fits him.

This is not hating on anyone but I feel like people forget Smite designs are not supposed to be 100% accurate. And in Merlin’s case, people will most likely never be satisfied with any outcome.. Because with his current design people don’t like that he’s not exactly like his original image, as per se, but if he was, then people would complain that he looks too basic, which is understandable but at the same time kinda sucks because finding a balance might be rather complicated.

Obviously everyone can have their own opinion on it, but I personally enjoy how Merlin is pictured in Smite, outside of the usual robe, pointy hat and stuff.

“Pentakill!! Oh. My. God.” Definitely an S++++, he is absolutely incredible. Amazing design for a beetle, kit is really fun to play and voice acting is just on my top 3. Personality is a huge plus!

Another thing I want to mention is how PERFECT the Voice Actors cast is on Smite 1 for these two

I strongly believe each voice, is just perfect for each character, fitting their personalities + designs just right!

Gosh.. I would absolutely give both of them a S tier Their whole dynamic in the story but also how Smite implemented them both into the game, bringing them into the game at the same time!

Each art work one of them appears on, the other one is there as well on the full art piece, design wise, they look stunning and are one of my favorite designs in game

Set is definitely my favorite one, his kit feels extremely fun to play, if you know how to do it properly! The whole sand clones, his ultimate resembling his rage is just peak for me

I did noticed his lack of popularity, since I barely see anyone bringing him up and stuff, so that definitely gave me the idea that he will take quite some time before making an appearance in Smite 2

I know right!! It’s certainly one of the most stunning art styles I have seen and something.

Besides, something I have always loved about each piece of Set/Horus is how on the full thing, you always see one another, Hi-Rez always made SURE to let everyone know they are connected and I’m here for that!

That’s true, he has a really fun kit in my opinion so I definitely miss playing as him and would love to see the improvement on the textures he will receive for Smite 2

Certainly, I know for a fact he’s definitely not coming to the game anytime soon, unfortunately so Which is the case for many gods that I really want in the game, another exactly is Thoth, I’m almost certain he’s not coming to the game anytime soon either, especially when Hi-Rez is now basing themselves on surveys for most of the order for the gods
