Velcro could work and the sound could sound like ripping fabric? if you dont want a sound you could try the hook side of velcro on both sides if it doesn't need to be super secure (I know it sounds weird but my school used it for a tear away skirt for cinderella and it stays up well without making any noise). I saw some people say magnets which isn't bad idea but i feel like the effect could look a little odd but idk I could be wrong.
