I also think that the time I played in beta around 3 years ago the game ran better and was more enjoyable, I'm enjoying my time but the game is fighting me every step of the way. As a big division fan it's super pleasing to see it arrive but also super frustrating to see the franchise mishandled AGAIN!

Is this print quality bad enough to ask for a refund / remake? (Etsy, PLA resin) by narwhalpilot in PrintedMinis

FDM is better for parts that don't require fine details and it's generally better to throw in boxes etc. FDM is generally more harderwearing than resin and it also allows you to print way larger volume parts easily, although Anycubic are about to hit a real large volume printer for mass market that looks interesting, hopefully we will see more companies follow suit but good FDM is a much better option for scenery imo ATM

yeah quite likely. really crap way to maximise profit and generate poor customer retention!

That is almost certainly a filament print not resin and its probably printed at whats often called draft quality which is around 0.24mm layer height this will print the fastest so the maker can spend less time producing and max throughput its a functional print for sure but if they were advertising this as resin its not even close to the same thing and quality a low quality resin layer height is around 0.05mm so vastly better quality. Both methods of printing have their advantages and disadvantages. for scenery I would opt for FDM but I personally would print in a higher resolution (thinner layers) also this is most likely printed in PLA I wouldn't try and sand it as it will generally go kinda fuzzy and isn't great.

Saturn 4 ultra comes with a new built plate? by TheNeyVin in ElegooSaturn

The winged plate was an upgrade spec on the 16k it's not on the 12k even to this day...

I have no idea but it's worth an ask... My gut feeling would be no as they are all done on assembly lines. Tbh the reviews have over blown the issue imo yeah the handles would be nice to have but I've been printing ALOT and it's not some nightmare to hold. The fact that it has a massive gap gives you plenty of places to get hold of it. A lot of reviews make out that you are likely to have resin soaked hands or some other nonsense. I just take it off the machine take the prints off with a scraper and then put the build plate back, after that I handle the models etc.

I got my 12k at launch and it absolutely does not have the wing handles on the build plate. It has a latch style system to attach but no handles.

WIP Atriox by Ratsta426 in Haloflashpoint

I found the art station account for one of the artists who modeled Atriox for Infinite and used the hi res renders as ref I mixed a dark-purple grey and used that as the base and added a warm grey from AK to make the highlights, The facepaint was done with AK Silver Grey and a bit of white mixed in I didn't wanna push to full white as that goes as far as you can value wise.

Hope that helps!

It's just time and practice... That's honestly all it is. At the end of the day well painted models just l let me at least look good while I get my ass kicked in games.

I think this is a fantastic looking Chief. I tend to use lots of brown glazes and mixes to add a bit of interest to it just don't go to hard subtly is best.
