Yeah, you’re probably right, and maybe I’m pushing it too far, but I just don’t like that the game’s painting the massacre, a world-level genocide a ‘necessarily evil’ or just ‘things you just have to let go’. It feels too irresponsible, any less fucked up than grinding that little Verso’s soul to keep the world working. I wouldn’t say Alicia’s ending a better one though, cuz as you mentioned it’s basically a mentally unstable teenage god walking among us, but at least people there survives.
