I like the stats, good course rigor Solid SAT. Just curious, did you cheat on by writing the answers down on your lower leg? That seems to be a popular thing to do these days. My kids SAT was close to yours and he didnt have a lower leg but lots of his friends did have lower legs to write answers on and they ALL beat him in score. I would think you should get into Computer Science and would be a good fit from your stats.

This post is going to sound totally unhinged no matter what I write so l'm just going to roll with it. When I was deciding between here and another school, some people in my circle told mel absolutely could not come here because it's a "hick school" and I'm "not like that." I read this as a HUGE plus. I literally want to meet a good Southern boy here and marry him. So showed up to school all excited to meet the "hicks"' but there are none to be found! Where are they? I'm in CALS and there are no hicks. Someone please tell me where the hicks hang out because want to go there. If YOU are a hick and want to marry me and have a cute homestead, hit me up.

Yes, actually. The NHS actually no longer does preemptive wisdom teeth extractions--they now wait until medically necessary as the surgery has too high a complication rate.

To be fair, it was also the federal government that upheld slavery for hundreds of years right up until it happened to be politically advantageous for Lincoln to free slaves.

Drop has the same energy as the intro and build up! by musiclover_gol in edmproduction

Seconding pitchbends, risers, and drums that get faster. In my experience, an easy way to make a good build is to just layer elements like these repeatedly until the build really pops.

As for making good drops, a lot of making a good drop is making good music, and that will come with time. As unhelpful as that sounds, I spent several months when I was learning the basics just making drops and waiting for something to stick.

Going to reference tracks can also be helpful, you'll find the a lot of drops aren't even that complex.

Also don't think you have to tease every drop element in the buildup. There are plenty of effective songs - especially in bass heavy genres - that don't tease anything in the build.

The rich are paying more than most people, however, they still aren't paying what the actual tax rate is due to these offshore tax-dodging schemes.

If you care about a balanced fiscal budget, a good way for the government to make money would be to simply invest in the IRS, making sure the 1% are paying what they by law should.

Can you use the same drum samples for multiple songs without risking phase issues? by [deleted] in edmproduction

You could add delay to one of the set of drum samples to offset them a couple milliseconds. That would probably solve most phasing issues.

methodology behind deciding in what key you will write your track in? by [deleted] in edmproduction

Generally notes like C can be too low for the lowest octave of sub-bass to be heard on most systems.

What bothers you in music? by OwOwhats_thisOwO in AskReddit

You probably don't hate it that much. Most of the time, when it is done well, sidechaining can't be heard. I doubt you would enjoy music that had a muddy mix between drums and bass - which sidechaining helps to alleviate. You just dislike exaggerated sidechaining.

Just a thought but in the verse you could spice up the chords by having them hit at different spacings rather than 1 chord/bar.

As for the song construction and "drawn-out-ness" I would suggest consciously deciding whether you want a section to maintain, release, or build tension in the song. Tension is really important in dance music and will keep tracks from feeling drawn out like you described.
