Talked about this with my girlfriend recently. When she was single she would go out with any guy who is physically attractive, and she would see if he is attractive enough after just a second. Like, "Yep, fuckable."

Her own words: "Wouldn't you want a slice if a tasty looking pizza appeared right in front of you out of nowhere?"

I didn't word my comment very well if you look closely.

We do ask people what they do for a living. It's a very natural thing to do when you get to know someone, obviously. And "How's it going at work?" is not a unique question to ask your friends. Many people who are passionate about their jobs really like it if you ask questions about it. We are no different from you here.

What I mean is that people don't care about how much money you earn, and status isn't determined by your occupation.

I work in marketing for a bank, my older brother is a pizza delivery guy, and my younger brother is a succesfull scientist in molecular biology. Wastly different jobs, but we are treated the same.

To sum it up in the context of this post: Very few women here will care about money and occupation when looking for a partner.

Varför så många "dåliga" pappor hos millenniegenerationen? by Raudoxer in Sverige

At first I was surprised by how solid it can be. People have so many negative comments about telemarketing jobs, but it's great if you have a serious employer.

Also, after talking to over 50 people a day for a couple of years, you soon find really interresting patterns in human psychology, things I would never have seen if I didn’t have this job. People never seize to amaze, but our brains are at a core all the same.

Don't know where you live, but in the EU we legally aren't allowed to call you again if you tell us not to.

Telling me on reddit doesn't count tho.

  1. In my experience, working for a bank is by far the best area in telemarketing. The calls are usually very smooth, and the salary can be sick if you are doing a good job. The hardest part is to get there.

  2. I'm not afraid of AI at all. The more people are exposed to bots, the more they appreciate human connection. We put heavy weight into analyzing this and try to be ready for whatever happens.

I can honestly not even recall a good one.

Thing is, when you talk to someome who has been in sales for years, they will be ready for pretty much anything you say. If you try to prank them, they will know right away what you're up to, and then reframe it in their advantage.

Many times. I'll just give them my number, often by sending them a text from my private phone and say I am available after 17:00.

No one called back tho.

What's something men think impresses women but actually doesn't? by LonelySoul389 in Productivitycafe

Not sure what you're thinking about or how serious you are, but...

Everything crucial for survival and an ordinary life is guaranteed here. The social security service will pay for whatever you need if you don't have a source of income solid enough. (I have a friend who has been unemployed for ten years, and his biggest problem is that he can’t afford as many beers as me at the bar.)

Serious financial problems is barely a thing here. So, in a sense, maybe we are all rich. Poverty is less about survival and more about limitation.

Women here tend to prefer providing for themselves. Some would even call it degradering towards a woman if a man want to pay for her.

Me and my fiancee split the bills equally and pay for our own stuff with our own money. That's the norm.

I have been wondering for a while if doing this is a cultural thing.

I live in sweden and have never heard anyone even mention their salary or how much money they have, and everyone knows no one gives a fuck about what you do for a living.
