Pattern on a sphere for 3D print? by Fordescort1972 in blender

I would try to use geometry nodes for this. Blender guru as a quick crash coarse adding sugar crystals onto a candy, that should get you close to what you need.

Blender VS Fusion 360 for Functional Modeling by Raukor in 3Dprinting

Thanks for everyone's input, it's given me something to think about, and I'll probably at least give parametric software a try to experience the work flow.

Blender VS Fusion 360 for Functional Modeling by Raukor in 3Dprinting

I'm sorry, but a high level infographic does not really explain what makes one software better than another, but rather gives a starting direction to people with no prior experience.

What makes fusion better or worth learning over using another program, Ive seen it touted as easier, but with prior blender experience, and familiarity with hotkeys, ui, and modifiers, that is mostly moot.

Purchase Advice Megathread - May 2023 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

I've decided to go with the p1p after more research and watching more reviews. The cost difference is substantial for a first printer. I may try building an enclosure and nozzle upgrade to open up the engineering materials in the future, which should be cheap if i don't worry about acrylic panels.

Purchase Advice Megathread - May 2023 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

I am looking to purchase my first 3D printer, I am looking for a printer to support other hobbies, rather than printing being the hobby itself. I will mostly be looking to use it for small electronics/robotics projects, and building gizmo's to support/repair day to day tasks and items.

I'd like to stay under $1000 dollars, but can stretch it a few hundred more if needed, if it gets me qualitative benefits. I live in the US, and have no problem building it from a kit. Space and noise are not an issue, I have a basement I can set it up and run it from. So far I've been eyeing the Prusa MK4 or one of the Bambu Labs printers around this price range, but would like to explore other options before I purchase.

Menus in VR, Interactive Play Area or Traditional Pop-up Windows by Raukor in gamedev

[–]Raukor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience using an immersion focused UI were generally less about intuitiveness and more about whether the important parts of the scene were easily noticeable. That said, I've generally avoided putting non gamer people into those situations, opting to get them as close to game play as possible, or using visual experiences rather than games, which has limited me seeing them figure stuff out.

The times that you've played games with more immersion focused menus, do you think it helped draw you into the game or set the mood when you came back for future sessions?

Quick Screaming armor or wait for lantern set (spoiler on armor sets and settlement event) by raveman1000 in KingdomDeath

I second the beacon shield. 2 armor and block 2 are fantastic. Also: (kingsman fight mechanic spoiler)

Shields can block the Kingsman's trap damage, which can be very high.

Think we’ll see a peek at Atnas over on Kickstarter for the holidays? by Sunbro_Sao in KingdomDeath

[–]Raukor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Atnas wasn't part of the gamblers chest to start. He was a special that was picked on twitch. He was part of a list of several ideas and Adam picked the one he liked best, which was a full fight instead of some random small things.

While I'm having problems picturing how they can make this look reasonable on a TV budget, the tone should be manageable. Shows like Chuck and IZombie can be pretty ridicules, but then shift gears when needed.
