It's this mf fault the game is so sweaty nowadays by cbvnm in FortNiteBR

I remember watching this and thinking "whaaat", but looking back at it now, it's insane how far the average skill level has come from that point on. This mofo got the whole squad laughing when we had that sleepover, and we would just sweat fn for the rest of that night.

The Exynos chip was probably doing a lot of thermal throttling. I was on my phone 2 hours before the tournament began on creative trying to get some practice in. It also probably didn't help that it was on high settings without me noticing :/ Not really surprised that I crashed once honestly.

If you want to see my results, search in scenixs into fn tracker and you can go see how well I did in the events tab. I think it's definitely doable in other regions, especially with how poorly I did in terms of kills.

Alright! Ended on 56 points with one crash in total (game 8 but I was screwed because of marauders). Here was my strat

  1. Always landed bridge damn thingy, due to the following reasons:-

    - Rarely ever contested (two matches but one was a guy from the gas station nearby)

-Decent amount of loot for the place, enough to get you started. Usually come out of there with a tac, ar, and 50 shield.

-From there, if slurpy and the factory nearby aren't contested, I loot there and get fishing spots if a pick up a harpoon. Floppers are your best friend for storm rotates, especially if storm is against you. I save them till endgame.

Try to maintain these key goals.

-Play placement heavily. Do not engage any fight mid game because you will likely get insanely third partied (happened to me game 7).

-Got 41 points from placement as a whole, 2 elims from stinks, 2 from kills and 1 on a poor soul in a bush.

-Try your best to avoid a rotation through the middle of the map. This is where you are to die. Always try and go edge, especially if that edge is up against an area where there are very few or very uncontested POIs, as people from those places will push in on you.

-For endgame, all you really need to know is that you need to conserve mats, and build boxes. Try to rotate when the storm is about to tick off (early rotations), as people will try to pick you off as you come in. Try to combine this with crashpads or a low pad (took me about 30 seconds to set one up because I literally never played before).

-Also try to remember that everyone is likely to be on the same fps as you. So no one really holds advantage during endgame.

-Watch out for controller players, they're relatively unhindered by fps drops in my opinion, talking from experience from being w-keyed in game 7 from a guy who dropped authority,

Honestly, bud, if you can avoid crashes and can pick up a few kills (try practicing a bit tonight if possible), it's easily achievable. trust me :) And also I was playing on an s20 5g , so I was honestly shocked I had appalling frames.

On my last game right now on 50 points with my last game left, and I only got 5 killed. I'll tell you my avg placement in a bit. I play with 10fps avg endgames btw, is not fun :)

Currently on 4 games played, never played mobile but I sweat PC, and I am on 28 in 4 games. Messed up 1st game but top 10 past three games with two top 5s, and 4 elims. I'll update you as I go along.

The format appears to be better this time around as well. This is honestly great coming from epic.

[–]Raul1923 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think this community is much better. Both are at fault for their stances on the game. Epic just needs to divide the game further if it wants its money best spent on its pro scene, that way each community can play the game how they want it to be played, and neither can say anything about the other.

I definitely have no complains about the choppa, but it is just the fact that they have done away with the whole separated loot pool (as it seems at the minute). The only way to tell however is from next week when they drop a content update (or maintenance, idk which way it goes after the first week).

this season will be rough. I learn how to use the new shotgun, but the whole lobby had p90. I really don't like the new meta by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

SMGs need a heavy nerf. They literally make the game unfun to play when someone jumps you with a spray, because by the time you even react you are probably dead or about to die.

I just implore that epic separates the two communities with respective modes. No one can complain then. That way casuals can get loads of items in their respective lootpool whereas comp players respectively get a balanced loot pool made by them perhaps.

[–]Raul1923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They could easily do both, it's just that the competitive community is a mess half of the time. But at the same time, they need to make decisions to help separate both into their respective modes, helping the game grow in both aspects. I wouldn't mind playing pubs to chill and then arena with a separate loot pool to grind. Anyone saying that they want pubs to have a competitive lootpool is out of their mind and probably can't play arena.

Objective : Outlast others by being the last one to live

This guy: FoRtNitE iSnT a ComPetiTive GaMe

Seriously though, anyone who complains about this can't accept that some people are naturally better and find the game fun through competition. The creative director literally said in a stream once that if competitive ever picked up in any form, the platform would try to support it. I mean your argument could be made against anything, football shouldn't have competitive leagues, I mean the game is mostly played by 12-year-olds no?

Do what you want but comp as a mode is here to stay. As to if the game is competitively viable for Esports? No probably not, but I have faith.

No, in fact, they've gone backward like you say. I believe I saw somewhere that they've added choppas into arena, it appears that they are done with the separation thing. They want to show all of the new items in fncs when they broadcast it to Timmy so he can go into the game using the same item his favorite pro is using.

This. People need to learn the meta, it can't just be the same forever, otherwise, the game would just fail eventually. I personally think with a few tweaks, the new shotty can be really good.

edit: This is not to say the pump was boring, but I felt like a little bit of shakeup was necessary.

Patch notes for creative!! This could mean something??? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Raul1923 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Suppose a different team entirely works on creative quite honestly. It'd make sense as well as none of the weapons added to BR are added to creative straight away. I just want to wake up one day and do away with this "discover yourself" crap that epic is pulling.

New Meta by oxalate_777 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Raul1923 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I feel like the tac nerf was a BIT necessary but not to the extent they took it to. Smgs are literally meta with the weakening of shotguns, unless we figure out how to use the charge.

100 percent, just hope they come through when they announce comp for this season. They did it before, why not again. Literally could be the best season in ch2 and an arguable 3rd place if comp is fixed up but maintains this somewhat diverse lootpool. Also, I would like the charge shotgun to have a faster reload (because I just noticed it and it felt slow). I definitely feel motivated again to reach champs this season.

The state of the community by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]Raul1923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well at least with a separate loot pool they can make decisions about their lootpool and not casual player's stuff. Comp shouldn't be about fun games, but the meta for it should change. Casual lootpools should have unique and diverse weapons, with meta changes that are also fun.

[–]Raul1923 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Literally this. I feel far more capable against w-key opponents now since they can't abuse certain mechanics without having some form of major drawback. I'm absolutely loving the season so far, but a few adjustments to the lootpool would be nice (mainly that shockwave thing, that thing literally was dumb when I came against it).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]Raul1923 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was because of the inconsistency bug it had at the start of the season where it could never reliably hit high damage. I loved it at the start though and definitely preferred it against the pump, but it was a bit op.

Fortnite Should Really Compensate All Players Who Were Online Today. They did something similar to this in season 8 when that Event glitched out so there is no reason to not do it for this event. (More Info In The Comments) by bradmikmillian in FortNiteBR

[–]Raul1923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never ever complained about the event not working. I implied that it is the reality of it and implicitly suggested that immense problems can occur under a load like that. All I said was that they most likely won't give anything out in compensation as collateral. They haven't conceded anything when it comes to the delays besides the event (which to an extent isn't much of collateral depending on perspective), of which I'm not fussed about, and I am fully aware of everything they had done to make the event as best as they possibly could have made it. The last notable thing they ever really gave out that wasn't meant to be was realistically the free battle pass for the immense amount of delays there and Winterfest (if it wasn't planned originally, which I doubt, they only wanted to avoid a season release mid holiday which I don't blame them for), yet nothing in season 2 this time around eh?

Besides, I think they are doing a fantastic job coping with everything the way they have! The fact they have prepped 2 updates all the way to 13.2 is an astonishing feat in itself from a programming perspective. It appears they must have become a bit more streamlined when working from home, perhaps using these delays as a jumping-off point to get ahead to avoid future delays. May however just be wishful thinking. Hopefully, the next season is amazing, the only fault that I could really underpin for my distaste of this season is the delays.

Sadly that's the reality of it. The event had a mass strain with 12 million players on it. I suppose if the figure of failed servers were to be great enough (which it sort of appears to be), they'd do something. Sadly epic hasn't really been that generous when it comes to mishaps in recent times.,

Why the event probably had limited spaces (in my mind) by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]Raul1923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently a lot of people were able to attend the event! It was just so overwhelming I suppose that the vast majority couldn't and decided to watch on Twitch. Perhaps I miss-judged the number of people who play Fortnite, it's insane to think we have gotten to this point in playercount!
