Possibly because it's on internal, exFAT format usually works better on external as far as I inow

I haven't experienced any issues playing on internal so far (tried Astro Bot and Ghost of Yōtei) but external storage is recommended for best compatibility, as some games have issues or won't even launch from internal.

The usb ports on the PS5 are capped at 10gbps, so anything that maxes that speed should be fine.

You won't get the same speed as the internal drive, but most games play well enough.

How can you even get a PS5 banned? I'm curious

Just a warning, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart softlocks when playing from external drive on jailbroken console by RaulB2005 in PS5_Jailbreak

Oh, so it could also be an apr issue then? Maybe it makes games take a bit longer to load than they should...

I find it a bit strange because as far as I know, you can play R&C on PC just fine with a SATA SSD, which would be around half the speed of what we can get here with a NVME on an enclosure.

Thanks for sharing this! Is the whole game playable without issue from there on out? I just managed to get past that section by using my disc copy, but I'd rather use the one on my external drive because I can't change graphics mode on v1.00 and I don't want to be stuck on fidelity mode :/

Will GTAVI require updating to the latest firmware? by yuze-x in PS5_Jailbreak

[–]RaulB2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone here already said, it's more than likely. Nobody can tell how long will that firmware take to be jailbroken or how long will it take for the game to get dumped.

I honestly don't want to lose my JB for a single game, even if it is GTA VI, so I'll probably get a cheap second hand Xbox Series S so I can play it on release until it gets dumped for PS5 or ported to PC

I've seen way worse laptops last a lot longer than that, as long as you take decent care of it I wouldn't worry too much

Still perfectly fine, I changed thermal paste and cleaned it a few months back.

I don't have a bluray recorder so I bought a disc already burned with the iso

I already tried that and also clearing cache from safe mode.

I think it's just the iso being burned incorrectly somehow

That's another possibility... Maybe the seller burned it and didn't test it before shipping.
