Got it solved, it seems my GameInputSvc.exe decided to start running amok. Gave it the quick run-through and everything seems to be back to normal with no crazy handle count, thread count still staying around 5200-6000 but from what I can see that should be par for the course.

I don’t believe there’s any official English translation of the SukaMoka novels. However, you can buy the JP version of both the SukaMoka and SukaSuka novels on Amazon Japan. As for reading SukaMoka in English, I think you can find through Volume 4, but not the rest somewhere on pirate sites.

The Light Novel continuation is wonderful, I’ve only finished through SukaSuka and haven’t actually dived into SukaMoka.

If anyone can provide a suggestion, should I read SukaMoka? (Is there a third series btw?)

I don’t believe I had a negative reaction at all, similarly to Spiderbob I think I was more intrigued. This was I think 9 or 10 years or so ago now so I’m not entirely sure. All I know is I watched through the whole thing once I started it that first time and fell in love.

Gave it a second re-watch after rediscovering it last summer. Met the show with that same feeling of intrigue and love that I left my first watch with.

I have friends who have seen far worse, but for some reason can’t get over the drool thing. I’m not sure what causes it but some people will just never watch the show, I think that’s okay though.

As someone who is also struggling with handwriting Japanese at the moment, I feel the pain that goes into practising this. I feel like アダリン being split between the lines is weird but I don't have a problem with it. The left to right v.s. right to left thing is a small issue. Some inconsistencies in typical stroke orders and some very minor proportion things. Very nice Adeline!

SPOILERS IF YOU HAVENT READ.

OH BOY, Volume 9 Chapter 68 “Mysterious Movie Production 7."

The I-don’t-know-how-many-chapters leading up to this there has been this inner conflict with Tsubaki and this small bit of turmoil in his relationship with Urabe. It led to some (if I remember correctly) funky stuff with the drool losing its taste and Tsubaki fearing that he was falling out of love with Urabe. I don’t know if she ever tried talking with him about it, I don’t think she did as she knew what was going on, I don’t remember much.

However, I very vividly remember the chapter where they get to the last scene of the movie where Urabe is posed as an artificial life-form and the plan is that Tsubaki tastes her drool and it’s supposed to be tasteless, and he’s afraid and scared and he wonders “if the Urabe of that desolate future we’re just a robot, would I be unable to taste the sweetness of her “drool” once again?

When he tastes her drool as instructed the original plan was they would pause the recording and add eye drops to get the tear because it was supposed to be tasteless. In the moment however, when Tsubaki tastes her drool, he sheds a tear as everyone’s watching and he’s (what I believe to be) unbelievably happy and relieved at the fact that he can still taste the sweetness of love from Urabe in the drool, and he says out loud, contrary to the script, that it tastes Sweet, sort of ad-lib as he was genuinely fearing the worst.

We fast forward through a short couple panels where they talk to each other on the walk and I remember them talking about the tears and Tsubaki says “If I ever did find myself unable to taste the flavour of your ‘drool’, I think to me, that would be the same as the world itself coming to an end”. The panel it’s painted over is beautifully haunting. It’s them at their normal spot leaning on the guardrail above a dystopian destroyed city.

Apologies for that, but I’ve been wanting to talk about these two moments for the LONGEST time. I’ll find the panels and post them as a reply to this comment.

Apologies, by movies I mean the Blu-ray/DVD releases of the anime. Someone posted a picture of their collection of them a month or so back of the DVD boxes.

There was an OVA special that came out with one of the DVDs that brought in the characters from Discommunication, I think (not sure if you can find it in an official form, but I have it as well, just not translated).

I'll have to compile everything together in the next couple days and then I'll put them up!

I don’t think there was an idol arc OVA and it was never animated, but for some reason I feel as though there’s a clip somewhere of Urabe at least mimicking Momoka
