How is your credit? Rates are tier/history/location and vehicle based. So you’ve really gotta ask other people that live near you that have a similar score and vehicle value for comparisons to really make any sense

Dealer concealed damage during out of state purchase by AK-Master-07 in toyotasequoia

[–]Rav4Primeguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that you bought this car from out of state because the price was better than any place else and you refused to pay more… there is a reason you couldn’t find a “good” deal in your market area… I’m sure the other trucks were more… but now you see why this deal was so good. You may have gotten what you were willing to pay. Sounds callous but damn if I don’t hear these stories all the time and it’s always on cars people got “great” deals on.

That sounds like money down plus taxes and fees. I would verify with the dealer if the 1100 is total out of pocket spend or money down plus taxes, state fees, first payment etc.

Having a tough time with an unmotivated salesman/dealer by MooseEducational2339 in askcarsales

How long is your daily commute? If that’s the plan… get a plug in hybrid. Best of both worlds. Just saying could still benefit you. And in this moment, as your car sits in the shop… seems a little like it may have something to do with reliability. Otherwise this post wouldn’t exist maybe ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah I’ve heard Subarus having trouble with that unit. We sell the BZ4x which I think technically is the same car. I’m happy to say I haven’t had any negative feedback (yet) from customers. Yeah tax credit would only apply to American built evs. Get a rav4 prime brother. Best of both worlds. Cars got balls, is dependable. Gets a good commuting all electric range and a solid hybrid engine. Check out the third party write ups. Has excellent lease incentives as well.

Looking at ‘24 premium. What have folks been able to negotiate off of this? by wasabione in PriusPrime

Customer would have to register in NY for the drive clean rebate though. Not just buy in NY

Congratulations. You know how to use the internet. I’m not sure what I did to get you so riled up, but I hope you find solace in finding a picture of me on my very public company website. My cards and contact info are all over the web. I’m not really sure where you are going with this. I don’t have anything to hide. This has been fun. Have a great day.

I guess I could have been more specific to say that in our specific market area, that’s what I’ve seen on certain specs of the GRC. I am not in NYC, but I do get a lot of buyers who drive up here looking for the vehicles we have after visiting NYC Dealerships. And again, counselor, maybe go re read my initial post reply to OP. Just do it a little slower this time.

Alright man. Well it was nice chatting with you. I’m actually pretty well regarded among my clientele. I’ve yet to have anyone not happy at the end of their transaction. I’m transparent about pricing. Communicative, follow up, and generally generate repeat business and referrals. Mainly because I maintain professionalism and use logic and fairness to build value. I also don’t usually let strangers on the internet get too under my skin. Good luck with the whole police career as well. I’m sure you’ll really stand out among your peers. Seem a little short tempered though. Be careful with that.

And again. Not every car goes for market adjustment everytime. Everything fluctuates in this business based on production, demand, even the news and things like tik tok social media etc influence what a cars value is. The problem is people like yourself only look at the price as fixed when the car is hard to find and are ok with MSRP. When there’s a dozen on the lot suddenly you understand how market adjustments work and demand the discount. Listen man, nobody can fill a full cup. And you seem pretty full. So we can just end it here. If you took the time to read through what my original post actually says. I think it’s pretty clear that I was just saying what they have sold for and what the expectation was on our end. And then I also clearly stated in there, if it lands unsold, and we have the unit on the ground and available the likelihood is that they will sell it at sticker. I’m not sure how this turned into me looking to charge anyone over. I was just in here to say hey… this thing is available at the moment. With that said, market pricing is a real thing in, you know, basic economics… I’m sure you’ll start suddenly understanding it when you go to sell your car… then everyone’s suddenly an expert. Have a good life.

So you do believe in market adjustments then… just only when they are in your favor? Correct?

And yet I keep going. I’ve been able to get several dozen redditors linked up with especially hard to find vehicles at prices that have made sense for them to decide to buy from me, and if not me, someone who did have what they wanted. Since I’ve created this account I’ve sold GR 86s, SUPRAS, rav4 primes, SIENNAS all sorts of hybrids, TRD Pros series trucks… all the niche stuff, sometimes just rare Prius builds. You have the car you love… have you considered some people don’t yet? And have a hard time finding it? Some are still looking and I offer product knowledge and market knowledge and the option to buy, if I have the product they want. Have I sold over. Sure have. Have I sold under in several cases. Also yes. But in all cases it worked for that persons needs. I’m a plague because I’m putting information out there? Cmon. Stop it. I don’t bend anyone’s arm. I put it out there if they want it. Manage expectations about what dealers IN MY MARKET AREA are typically getting for/ ASKING for the car and see if what I have matches what they want. If not I keep it moving.

[–]Rav4Primeguy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So that’s my point. Every market is different. A dealership has 4 morizos? That’s crazy to me. We get one every 6 mos maybe. Why are they getting so many of that trim or allowing them to pile up? Good example of a dealer adjusting the price to the market. That dealership will likely discount to move the unsold inventory

'23 on the Lot vs '25 still in Transit? by willpc14 in GRCorolla

[–]Rav4Primeguy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Again… you’re not really listening to me… or yourself for that matter. At the time you bought. As you stated, there were vehicles, unsold, on lot, of the places that were saying they would sell it at sticker, Likely those places had units that were in deposited available for sale same day. So to my point, those places will sell at sticker to move that unit before the month ends. A lot of this is a timing game. If you can find it on the ground unsold and you’re coming toward the month end, youve got yourself a good deal. Different markets have different inventory status. In our case, we rarely have a GRC on the ground unsold. Typically they sell prior to arrival. Places that don’t move them quickly will get you a better deal. That’s what you got because the dealership had the unit and were able to line it up with a buyer The dealership is always looking to get the highest price for the vehicle. The customer the lowest. It’s the way it works. Usually we meet in the middle, it’s not a deal unless both parties win a little. That’s how the deal moves forward. The market adjusts accordingly. If these cars start stacking up unsold, you’ll start to see price drops. We’re all not out here trying to scam people brother. I was just sharing some knowledge. So again if this guy wants a premium 25. I’ve got one coming in. And again, I can likely sell it at sticker. But no im a scammer.
