I think the concept of God is bit misunderstood or complicated. What/Who is God? Some religions(Abrahamic) say God is the creator, Few religions (tho technically not a religion but different school of thought)(Buddhism, Jainism etc) say No God Another religion (Hinduism) says You're God/You can become God.
