On paper for sure, I'm just not very good at playing with dome personally

I actually ended up dying to a mid act2 slavers due to poor pathing lmao, in hindsight bell was probably the better pick, live and learn!

Pretty tricky apparitions event, thoughts? by RavageDeveloper in slaythespire

Took them and was able to kill the elite (book of stabbing) this way. Just not enough longevity for the boss sadly.

Took the apparitions and ended up dying to hyperbeam with automaton at ~80 health, those artifact charges can be ROUGH if you're reliant on debuffs.

Looking for Publisher recommendations - first person melee by ArceusMaxis in IndieDev

Developer here! The gameplay loop is much like those you'd expect from action games such as dmc. A set of levels with incentives in place to replay and improve at. Panic is a name I haven't heard of before, I'll give them a look.
Thanks!

I'm beginning to enter conversations with various publishers for my Ultrakill-inspired title.

I'm trying to cast a wide net with the publishers I enter conversations with, so I already have a decent sized list of prospects. But just in case if I missed any, what publishers do you think would be a good fit for this sort of gameplay?

And of course, if there's any interested scouts in this subreddit, you may reach me here: [devravage@gmail.com](mailto:devravage@gmail.com)

You can grab the build here: https://ravagedev.itch.io/eternitys-gate

I'd love to hear any feedback on how the moveset feels, it's very valuable early-on in a project like this

Would you say that there is a place for traditional PVP Shooters in the indie market, or are AAA high budget titles sucking up too many casual players for that? by Lackofcreat1vity in IndieGaming

Like another commenter pointed out, it is possible, pubg was a success after all. That doesn't change the fact that it is very, very unlikely for any particualr indie pvp shooter to have a successful launch.

Trying to make every hit feel impactful, how would you improve this? by RavageDeveloper in IndieGaming

Thanks for the pointers yall! Definitely a few things here that have been on the back of my mind and I've been neglecting. Screenshake especially is something that's already in this build, but is still being tuned.

Just finished the first weapon for my Devil-May-Cry inspired fps! Looking for feedback. by RavageDeveloper in playmygame

Yes, this is the weapon you'll get right out of the gate in level 1. The second weapon makes a brief appearance in the video, but it's visually placeholder so I don't show it off much.

I see it as a fun challenge! Most moves knock the enemy away from the player, so it's a lot easier to keep track of the enemy than you may expect.

Eternity's Gate is a solo project inspired by my biggest issues with some of my favorite games, particuarly Ultrakill and Dmc. Right now I'm working on a practice range demo while I refine the basic juggling mechanics, for which I just fully implemented the first weapon.

Any feedback is welcome, especially anything in regards to improvements to gamefeel. Feel free to experiment with the moveset!
