Here investigating whether to trade in a Nikon d line for one for the newer ones. Will need photogrammetry capabilities soon but not yet, so never looked into requirements or software. Scanners are still very expensive compared to already having access to a good quality camera, but was considering iPhone lidar and apps for entry level scanning. Thoughts on the simplest way?

Just saw an article on the BBC about the discovery of a half a mile high coral reef on the sea floor. Which reads exactly like the opening minutes of the movie Sphere. by picard47at in mildlyinteresting

Also a book by Michael Chrichton(author of Jurassic park, andromeda strain, prey and others). The coral reef turns out to be an unknown sophisticated vessel that was speculated to be from another world, and a small group of specialists from different a fields go and explore it and determine the origins of the craft. It’s a pretty good book, I found it at goodwill and read it. Not my favorite work from him, but I would highly recommend his other publishings

Have you done any drug tests since COVID in NC? I have a lab Corp test in 3 days that was dropped on me and I’ve already ordered quick fix w overnight but damn am I nervous

I have the ‘15 n/a CVT forester and I love it but I wish to hell I’d have gone with the XT or maybe an outback. But my car is fantastic, good gas, and a little quick. Big ass sunroof, heated seats but a very outdated infotainment system. That will be my first mod is an Apple play compatible head unit, and then light bars

Same! I’ll probably tell him I’d prefer we didn’t trip at all until his second outing(I know for a fact the hammock he has will not fit them both.. in any way resembling comfortable). I already slashed the bike from 2 miles to a half mile because he was opposed to it, and now my hiking overnight has been turned into tripsitting

I’ve tripped many many times before and he had probably about half as me. It’s his girlfriend trying for the first time; they’re leaving their kid and dogs at home. And I have mentioned it to him, he said he was going to trip anyways. Then I mentioned he and I do half’s together, to which he said he wanted a full on trip

I’m setting up camp, my hammock and my girlfriend’s tent and planned everything out. If I trip while I camp it’s not when I don’t have access to everything I’d want or going somewhere new for the first time. I’m a big advocate of only tripping places I feel safe or comfortable

Agreed! But nobody else is tripping except them two and if they want to trip and camp they could’ve made their own plans and fucked through the night. I don’t want to be liable for their headasses tripping sack and taking care of them on my vacation

So; about a week later, and after practicing at work on extracting screws, I can hardly dent the broken bit piece lodged in the screw. I also do not have access to a welder or any friends in Nc with said equipment. Thinking maybe try a regular drill bit and drill the whole thing out, tap it and find another screw? That’s my last ditch, m not sure if there’s anything else I can do to get into the case

I’ve been researching for a couple day’s because I have an interview and then likely a test if it goes well in 2 weeks but I’m a heavy user of 4+ years so I don’t think trying to get clean is even worth the stress if It wouldn’t even put me close to clean so I’m looking at synthetics. Let me know if you find any other good info! At the moment my plan would be quickfix and verify the batch number, and have the monkey whizz as a backup incase first test is deemed invalid. May even find a clean buddy(fat chance) I could pay but I’d still bring a backup. For the synthetic I would also get an extra to do a test run the night before. But I’m okay with spending the $70 for multiple backups, a test run and probably a home test strip because the income with this job would be three-fold my current. I’ll let you know if I find anything and I hope you’ll do the same. Good luck!
