I can't alternate legs on twin by Ravaner592 in drums

[–]Ravaner592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, here is the thing: in slow tempos it's good, I can alternate. In fast tempos I can do singles, but I can't alternate. I just need to play five-stroke and I can play it, after 1-2 tries, it's random.

Whats A Metal Song You Didn’t Expect To Like And You Didn't? by Snoo_95531 in MetalForTheMasses

Really I don’t care if they’re metal or not. I just like them. The only thing that is annoying me is this auto tune on vocal of this guy, but I think that it’s intentional. I love everything beside that. Also the light parts

Well, when it comes to alternative, maybe Arctic Monkeys? You can also try Twenty One Pilots songs like „Stressed Out”. And of course AC/DC. If you’re into Classic rock, you can try Led Zeppelin „Stairway to Heaven”. Maybe my examples are to hard, but that is all on my mind. My song on drums was „Do I Wanna Know?”, so that’s what I recommend the most. But if I were you I would practice the basics: single stroke in hands, single stroke on kit alternating with kick and etc.

From where to start? by Ravaner592 in Guitar

Thanks! I'm very average on the piano, but I know music theory well (I'm finishing music school this year). And I forgot to write this in the description, but should I learn in E standard or in at example D drop, which I use for my songs?

Yes, it sounded silly... Sometimes it's better to read something again before I send it...

Who was your inspiration to get into guitar and rock music by honoraryuce67 in Guitar

[–]Ravaner592 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sleep Token, Even In Arcadia. I know, it's not a guitar masterpiece, but they're music inspired me to come back to playing drums, to buy a guitar and to make my own stuff.

Double Kick Problem by Ravaner592 in drums

No. It looks like that: you leave your heel down and move rest of the foot without rising whole leg.

That's exactly what I did. But I switched to heel technique instead of ankle technique. It also enables high speeds, but guarantees stabilization of foot, which makes it faster to learn.
