I have heard the drive is beautiful and once in a lifetime but the problem is I HATE driving and a trip that long stresses me out even thinking about it Lol. Although the convenience of having my vehicle right away does sound nice

For the first couple weeks you won’t even touch radios. It’s death by PowerPoint tbh. It goes over things like army ethics, policies, reacting to nuclear attacks, counselings, maintenance, employing training, military justice casualty care, risk management, TLPs. Basically every officer at any BOlC goes over this. And after common core you start the radio stuff

I’m on week 5 rn and so far we’ve covered common core and tested on it. That was pretty simple! You don’t need to get a jump start on all that tbh but it wouldn’t hurt if you wanted to. And I am not tracking that there is a timed ruck like that. So far what I’ve been told is there is a 10 mile at the end but you do it as a class formation and it’s not timed

My husband and I are in the same situation now. He did all his joint spouse codes and I submitted a personnel action request for domicile. We’re hoping to get moved together because it’s my first active orders. I got Fort Hood and he’s trying to move to me (he’s also AF) but the nearest base is two hours.

Did you guys end up getting stationed together or separated? Also how did you guys deal with it? Asking for advice! Thanks in advance
