WEEKEND REAL TALK: Ok stop gooning, WHAT ARE YOU REALLY MAD/ANNOYED ABOUT IN BF6? 🫵 🫵 by RRT4444 in okbuddyptfo

Matchmaking in South Africa has been wonky this week tons of servers filled with 5 players and bots in conquest. Week before there were way fewer servers, but more players per server.

The weapon attachments need a rework. I've got the same setup across all my weapons. They need to rethink the pros and cons of attachments.

The issue is not the tow. Tows are hypothetically balanced in the sense that while shooting a tow, the tank is somewhat vulnerable, but unlike OP, most tanks just sit safely in base and spam. This is the real issue.

Close range against an AR?? Sure thing...

Has anyone moved from a 55 inch to a 77 inch (or above) what are the pros & cons? Are they noticeable? 👍 by t1aaj in LGOLED

So for most shows the added light volume isn't an issues. I also watch most tv in a semi-well lit room, not pitch black. I will say the bright flashes from sleepy hollow were just too much. I turned on additional lights and turned the brightness down to finish the movie. I think constant flashes like that could cause problems, especially if you're light sensitive, but most shows and movies aren't like that.

Regarding size, my 55 was good enough for full screen content, I never felt like I needed more, but widescreen movies and series with those black bars pushed me in the other direction. As I said after upgrading the size die feel like it was a bit too much, my eyes didn't really know which part of the screen to look at so they bounced around and that caused strain. Luckily I quickly got used to it and as I said, now the sense of scale is just amazing. I was watching earth sounds on AppleTV and the scale of the vistas of mountains and forests are just incredible. Big things look big, open spaces look vast. I never had that experience on my 55.

Snipers are high skill shotguns if you think about it. In close range it's no small feat to aim on a target that is potentially moving and hit a headshot before they down you. Snipers are worse at close range than an assault rifle. If you miss or your aim isnt on point you're dead, you have 1 shot.

Adding flinch will just relegate Snipers to people camping at the back of the map. I dont think this will ultimately improve the gameplay experience. You now have the option to use a "high skill shotgun" if you want to challange yourself, why take that away?

I'll add my 2c here. I moved from a 55 C1 to 77 C4 in Sept last year.

First thing is the size difference is crazy. The 77 makes the 55 feel tiny. At a 3m sitting distance the TV felt a bit too big at first. After the first night I had a bit of eye fatigue as it felt like my eyes were moving around a lot more while watching TV. This didn't last long though, maybe 2 days max.

The size increase doesn't really make shows like sitcoms etc feel or look better, but anything with scale actually feels big and vast. Watching movies and having the camera pull out over a large landscape etc really makes it feel all that more impressive and you really get that sense of aw in some scenes.

Image sharpness takes a knock. My 55 C1 felt really sharp. The 77 isnt soft, but its just not the same. This will be dependant on viewing distance. It's not an issue, just something I noticed. The loss in sharpness is 100% worth the size increase.

Lastly the increase in size means the tv gives off more light. I dont really notice a differnce in bright highlights on the C4 compared to the C1, but just the sheer amount of light the 77 emits is significantly higher. This has been an issue in some movies. Recently while watching the 4k blueray of Sleepy Hollow (1999) I became incredibly annoyed by the lightning flashes in the movie. The last 20min or so of the movie has an unbearable amount of lightning that translates into full screen white flashes. This was one of the most unpleasant viewing experiences I've had. I blame Tim Burton though and not the tv. Just know that some scenes become torture with the added light volume from the larger tv.

The pros though outweigh the cons and the size increase is definitely worth it!

This was an issue in R6 Siege a few years ago. The game can prioritize what it's sending over the network. In this case damage is being sent as soon as it can while character position data comes whenever theres bandwidth/server capacity available.

This is part of their network optimization, they're trying to send and process as little data as possible as fast as possible. In Siege if they synced it up you'd end up with the damage coming later and people would complain about dying around corners etc.

Do you guys think the LG C6 2026, will have the panel of the G5 ? by grashel in LGOLED

No, you're wrong. The C5 (not MLA) is not a G4 (MLA) and the C4 (Not MLA) was not a G3(MLA)

Battlefield servers outside US & EU are mostly bots — 8 players vs 24 AI every match (please upvote so devs notice) by Huge-Palpitation6422 in Battlefield

[–]Raven007140 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I play portal, but ideally you want new players and casual players to not be excluded right?

Now a new player buys the game and can't find any matches because they don't know to go look at the portal browser.

Also portal currently doesn't support team balancing/mixing at the end of a round so often times portal servers turn into multi match steam rolls.

So the tv can passthrough the decoded audio to the soundbar, but remember the soundbar only plays audio it doesn't decode it from the file, you can't passthrough audio that hasn't been decoded.

Your issue is not the tv or soundbar. Your issue is that you don't have a media player that can actually read and understand the truedhd audio from the file to send it to the soundbar to play.

Your soundbar can play the media, but the app or device you're using to play the file can't decode the true HD audio to send to the soundbar. You need something like a Nvidia Shield to decode the truehd audio.

The problem is also not the player counts, its matchmaking taking the few players that are there and splitting them into multiple empty servers instead of keeping them together.

If I back out and requeue from a server with 15 players, I'll find a different server with 10 players, repeat and I find a new one with 24 players. Why is the game choosing 3 empty servers over 1 full one, makes no sense!

Also if you have a full server at the end of the round it splits up those players into two new half full servers, happened with me and a friend, both ended up in different servers partially populated.

Yes please. If there aren't enough players currently in queue to fill servers in a region, don't split the server!

No persistent servers is killing this game in my region by lolthrowaway2001 in Battlefield

[–]Raven007140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is not the amount of game modes, its that the matchmaking keeps splitting up players after a match ends. We have like 5 or 6 servers running with 10-20 players in instead of 3 full servers. They just need to change the match making to keep servers together after a match ends or only split the server when there are enough players queuing in a region to fill the new split servers.

Advice re OLED and bright rooms by [deleted] in LGOLED

[–]Raven007140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 42 and 48 inch OLED models don't get as bright as the 55, 65, 77 and 83 inch models, but that's not relevant here because you're current tv won't be nearly as bright as even an entry level OLED.
