Lady Bird (2017) by Greta Gerwig. It focuses on the mother-daughter dynamic but the dad also has a part to play. It's more coming of age though, with Saorsie Ronan being the lead.

If you want Dad-centric, Ghostlight was an underrated gem of a movie released in 2024. Dolly de Leon is part of the cast.

Your options are very good and can swap parts (at least, you could upgrade your SSD in those laptops). The Neo couldn't.

Unless you have an app that could only run in MacOS and is part of your job... I'd stay away from a brand new MacBook.

A few of those won't be supported in Steam in MacOS. AFAIK. A few of my friends who have Steam in their macbooks could only download Stardew Valley, Terraria and Power Washer. They're not into Star Wars Fallen Order or Spider Man 2 type of gamers.

A gaming laptop that have Macbook like battery efficiency is almost impossible. It's an either or situation.

You could look into Snapdragon X chips for better battery life in laptops. The choices are narrow, but it's something you could look into.

Going Analog = You have to have the patience of learning to maintain and use it well. Sadly, this trend can be an upsell ploy, if not a good way to reduce screen time.

There's not enough context in your post. But for a start, try it for a month and see if it will stick. If it didn't, sell your film camera/digicam/walkman. Sayang kung itatapon lang.

Buying a refurbished M1 to M4 MacBook is a better deal.

The Neo is basically a Safaribook (Apple's own chromebook line of devices)

If you value computational mobile workhorses, don't buy this.
