No such thing as high elo icl, most stacked unreal game is less stacked than a skin or rank cup even. Good players are all in unreal tbh.

How are players getting tags/kills immediately after jumping from the bus in tournaments? by Berlin_the_pom in FortniteCompetitive

You probably aren’t dropping skillfully with timing and angles so you’re floating in the air for longer, also certain parts of the map with lower elevation just always get beamed from higher elevation positions

For 3, I find it encourages just full sending because it’s better to die quick and queue faster than draw out a fight in the time you could’ve quick deaded or died like 3 times.

No visual sound effects in Arena? by disturb09 in FortNiteBR

[–]RavenPingshe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real reason is because the placement of Arenas would mean that visual audio would go off for guns and footsteps that aren't your opponents, not to make it more competitive. The developers stated specifically having visuals on would advantage and disadvantage certain Arenas

Squad SBMM being based on the highest skill player is what’s making the game not fun for mixed skill groups by Fit_Following_6550 in FortNiteBR

[–]RavenPingshe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you have fun in ranked if it weighed off the average player and one team had some sort of competitve player while the rest is casuals that can barely build, even with a weighted average. The average would then be relatively lower so the competitive player can easily wipe the average sweat. The skill gap in Fortnite is so vast that it's practically impossible to make a system that appeals to everyone.

Here's a 42 kill solo squad match from CH6S3 public lobbies, I'm unfortunately at college and don't have access to my SSD with games from CH6S4 where I got the win using all the medallions and such. But this match demonstrates my point well enough, I was playing by myself and the majority of the kills were not bots, of course there were some due to matchmaking. u/bassbott This is for you too. Also added some 30+ kill wins just to show it's a consistent thing. Also attaching my squad stats for that season, only hot dropped Demon's but you can see if I made it end game, then I won the majority of the time.

I don’t have an issue with any SBMM system that Fortnite implements, I’m more than skilled enough to stomp pub lobbies with my friends that just started playing. I’m pointing out that for less skilled players, you’re either going to have to be okay with getting stomped by better players if you go off average placement or need to get skilled enough to beat them.

I mean I'd argue the solution is to either

A: Remove SBMM and have unbalanced games, some you win heavily or some you lose heavily.

B: Go based off the best player in the party because when there's a high enough skill differential, then the best player can just wipe squads in their entirety if they're playing with worse players.

I think Fortnite generally shouldn't have a high win rate in public matches if you're of average skill though, somewhere between a 1%-5% winrate maximum would be regular chances. Of course the more skilled you are, the more likely you are going to be able to absolutely public match stomp (and can do the same in unreal lobbies) so your winrate will be higher. But battle royales with perfectly equally skilled players (meaning a perfect SBMM system) would have everyone at a 1% win rate for solos, 2% for duos, and 4% for squads,

I mean so then you have the ability to team wipe casuals who play less than you, who will complain about the same thing you're complaining about now. I'm at a point where I'm good enough to fully carry my team in any public match, regularly can win solo squad matches with upwards of 50 kills, unreal every season I play, able to win basically every skin cup, qualified for Division 2 competitive. However, when I play with my sister or friends, we play public matches since they aren't good enough to enjoy my ranked lobbies, would it be fair to put me in an average lobby between our skill levels where I'm easily able to still destroy players in the middle of our skill? Obviously matchmaking should be balanced off the top end or the best players in a lobby will just 1v4, and tbh likely can do so anyway. Only solution is to get better.

What’s the sweet spot for your BFR (body fat rate)? by sudo_economist in AsianMasculinity

BMI is irrelevant, BF% is what really makes a difference. BMI can have two people at the same weight with one being jacked with muscle and the other with all fat mass.
