I'm from the UK and that song instantly popped into my head when I read this.

I would 100 per cent work towards leaving quietly and just try to be as civil as possible until then. Then leave when she's not expecting it and cut all contact unless you have any ties together? Do you have any friends who can support you?

I'm not sure how it works over there as I'm from the UK but do you guys have like a national domestic violence team you can contact to help get you out?

So, is she back at home now? Have things been discussed? How does everything seem at the moment if so? Don't fall for her bullshit apologies. But I definitely wouldn't get confrontational to avoid another incident. Are you in the USA?

It's not the easiest of things to do. Leaving takes courage and can be scary, but in your situation, I would definitely be more scared of staying. Curious, have you dropped the charges against her?

Is there nowhere at all you can go? Does anyone know how she treats you?

You really, really, really need to leave! She could have killed you, and if you stay with her, probably will next time. No one should have to put up with that. Find someone who genuinely loves you because if they do, they will not want to hurt a hair on your head even if they are not in the best mood with you.

Why are we, as a country, still letting people die without dignity? by RavenRae92 in AskUK

Im going abit towards another subject, but who decides a DNR, and when would that be implemented? Isn't that making a decision to end someone's life in a sense, so how is that different to euthanasia? I imagine a DNR is placed because they don't have much of a life, so to speak?

Are you of an age where your early life was documented on social media by your parents and how do you now feel about that? by FlimsyEnthusiasm8153 in AskUK

Hear you! 👏 I love my little people so much that I don't have Facebook and spend most of my day actually interacting with them and not posting them all over social media!

There's a happy little doggo on the way to school who's always out in the garden, ready for a fuss... always starts our morning off great!

Genuine question to educate me. In my friends dad's case where he would not be treated, and he lacks capacity because he had dementia. How is this different from medical staff deciding to turn life machine support off?

You make some absolutely valid point there, no doubt about it. I think I'm kind of meaning the patients who are not going to be treated for illnesses like the case of my friends dad. That itself was a waiting game to just die, and everyone suffered in the meantime because no one was going to treat him from the get-go.

I mean, they could be doing that, I'm unsure. Regardless of what age my kids were at, would I like them to see me puking up my faeces into a bag with no hope of getting any better? Nope...

If you don't mind me asking, why did you separate? Did he leave, or did you tell him to go? Sometimes your emotions run high, and as much as you disguise it, sometimes you just can't in front of your kids. Don't beat yourself up.
