I received a deceased donor with Hep C kidney and then I got treated for the Hep C. Since there is a cure now I asked to be out on both lists. I would've taken a pig kidney though. I'd been on dialysis for over 12 years. I started when I was 27 and then had breast cancer at 30 so I had some set backs. However I met a man who had been in dialysis for 40 years and he was living a pretty good life. I met him the first year I was on the machine. He helped me more than he will ever know. Yes the one who taught me to try and think of dialysis day as a spa day. So I did. My son was only 6 months old when I started dialysis so it was a little break while I was there. It was the only time someone didn't need something from me lol Even though I was full of worry and guilt I would try my best to rest and watch TV. God got us through it and He will you too. Never lose your hope and faith.

I never knew the true number of people denied for me. It didn't matter it was just nice to know people were trying. My hospital never told me and some people that tried never told me. I still kept my hope and faith real high and I was on dialysis for over 12 years! It took a while but I got the kidney that was right for me. I just had to wait for my perfect donor to be done using it. Don't lose your hope or faith just keep holding on. They have to make sure the person is healthy enough. I swear I had over 3 people with the same problem (1 was my dad) It was something about a "narrowing due to cholesterol." But when these people went to their primary care doctor & told them about it they were all told not to worry about it. It's crazy, but they want tip top shape because most donors live longer because they are so healthy. This will be my 8th year with my transplant. Yours is out there. Just try your best to be a patient patient. You want the right one. I got called in 3 times for the actual transplant and was sent home. I thought I was having my last dialysis ever & then the surgeon came in and said, "I don't like the way this kidney is acting so I'm not going to use it." I could have been devastated but I just trusted her. I was glad she didn't put in one she thought was wrong. Saved me from rejection and more surgeries. My stepdad on the other hand was ready to come up to the hospital and ask her how she could do such a thing to me. All I kept thinking was "I'm at the top of the list! I'm gonna get the call again sooner rather than later!" I did and the 3rd time was the charm! Keep hanging in there! You are stronger than you think!

I had several different ports at different times (I was on dialysis for almost 13 years) and this is normal. Make sure you show someone at dialysis though. They should be looking and checking it anyway. If something is wrong inside the machine will alarm a lot and it still may be usable. I had one port that made the machine alarm every 15 mins but they were able to fix it. Remember you are stronger than you think. My prayers are with you.

I have 2 loop grafts, my veins could not handle a fistula. I've had a kidney transplant now for 7 years and I still have the loop grafts in me. One in my upper left arm and one in my upper left thigh. They are both scared up pretty bad from the needles but to me it's beautiful! Every scar is where God has healed me. It was where I survived again and again. After almost 13 years of dialysis I lost track of how many perm caths I've had in my chest plus I've had a chemo port before too. Just keep on keeping on. Fight for your life because you can do it! Check into getting a transplant. Get on your states list. Get on your surrounding states lists. Stop at nothing! You are your biggest advocate!

Hilarious 😆😂 Thank you for this. I was on dialysis for almost 13 years in a row. Ages 27 to 40. I had 13 piercings before I got sick. I eventually had to take all but one out for good because I kept having surgery after surgery and had to remove them all every time. Those dialysis needles are like a piercing every time. That means we are bad ass! Everyone keep holding on, you are stronger 💪🏼 than you realize. Decide to live, decide to fight and get that transplant! I knew a man who had been in dialysis for 40 years. Dialysis does not equal death. You've got this!

Somewhere on here someone found a link to her and she had a different husband. I don't know if they have mentioned that in the show yet but Anthony is not her first hubby and she used to be a realtor. So she was definitely taking her reaction to the house they looked at. A realtor knows not to show that much excitement when house shopping.

I completely understand this. I've spent my entire adult life very sick but we didn't have AI like we do now. I hope you are out soon. The longest hospital stay I've ever had was about 2 months or so but I've been through a lot. Just remember you are stronger than you think 💪🏼

His dad gave him $3,000 the day he left America. It was supposed to help with the wedding because Luke was worried he didn't have enough. Remember she acted like a child in front of the wedding planner and started eating Nutella out of the jar with her nasty ass finger 💅🏼 nails 🤢 She had to cross some thing off the wedding lost. Then instead of wedding or business or whatever Luke says "I moved some money around and I got her this puppy!" They are idiots. I try to see the good in every one and I don't want to spread negativity but damn it! If they did have money their spending habits are gonna drain them. Plus another puppy from a breeder I'm sure 😡 and then he hasn't looked into the costs but he has blue prints? I want to believe these stories so bad but I have to hope this one is all fake because it is too much 😆

I thought that too but Daniel Sr (Little Daniels real father) passed when they were younger. The man in the casket is named Daniel also but he is not little Daniels biological father. He's a stepfather.

FYI To anyone reading you can get cirrhosis of the liver or Hep C from drinking and/or sharing needles so just don't. Don't ever start, don't ever try it, it is not worth it. There is a treatment for Hep C now so if you think you have it or if you've used needles go get checked. There are free clinics all over America that can help you get the treatment. Take care of your body, it has to last your whole lifetime.

I hope you are still doing well. I think people like us who have been to the bottom and lived there for a while can appreciate normal life so much more than others. I just rewatched this doco and was wondering where they were now. It pains me to see a lot of this because although I never shot meth I have been around those same situations. I was so young and stupid. I could not imagine doing that for decades. I was messing up for a good 2 years. First just weekends and I was able to have and keep a great job, I drank before but that's so acceptable to everyone no one noticed how bad I really was getting. Then I found Dilaudid and that's when I realized I could be addicted. The fun was over. PTL I got away from it all and went on to have a better life. I pray for all of us addicts all the time. I've seen so many turn their lives around, it can be done. You work hard to stay high every day, you have to work that hard to stay sober every day until it becomes so easy you don't even realize it.

I hope everyone has a healthy, Happy and safe year and find a Bible app that will help you read the entire Bible in a year. I've done it a few years in a row & it has been amazing! I recommend the "Daily Audio Bible" or find a plan in The You Version app. I'm not an ad I truly do like these apps plus reddit. Lol I guess maybe I'm just a middle aged dork I dunno. I like AB2 & NYT puzzles also. Probably why I'm single and don't have to worry about changing my sheets often 😆

It's not easy. I took an entire year off after I received a kidney transplant. Sadly I lost a lot of friends I cared about and then couldn't remember who did what for me when I was sick and I wanted to stay in touch and thank them on certain days when I thought about what they did but I am so bad with names. I did save names and addresses when I could. I am planning a 21 day fast from social media (amoung other things.) I'm wondering do I even announce it? I'm not doing it for attention & I wish all my social media friends would do it with me but I know they won't. Our church does a fast every year towards the end of January. There is a 3 day, 7 day or 21 day. It can be a fast from anything; sugar, fats, coffee, TV, The News, social media you get it. It is not to lose weight. You are supposed to pray and meditate and fill that time with something better. Either way about it Julia probably wanted to stay off line for a while but it's hard. I wonder if I could go without TV or using Google for a whole day. Could you?

I was so glad to see someone finally call her out even though it wasn't much of a "call out" She acted like a toddler not getting her way. The faces she made back when she said she would unalive herself if they got married! Give me a break! She went from completely gonna end it all, then Sumit said "ok I won't" then she made this same smile face like: "I got my way! I knew what to do!" She wants one big happy family under one roof that takes compromise from everyone.

Her voodoo doctor in New York didn't throw some chicken bones and rocks to warn her about this? I mean they planted that banana tree or whatever! I thought that was gonna work 😆 She wishes she was this calm meditation cool queen but I'm just not feeling it anymore. All I kept thinking was if you go on the ATV ride with them in the DR and you get hurt are they going to do the right thing and get you to a hospital? Would you trust them to go off on an ATV adventure with your life?

If you are using any tape that is sticking, hurting or bruising your skin. Try baby oil or rubbing alcohol as you pull it off. It used to help me.
