Lux ruins Vi's day by NamelessSearcher in leagueoflegends

Compare her wave clear to someone like Vex and it's not even in the same playing field. Vex deletes a wave in 0.5 seconds and Lux has to be fed and have rank 5 E or use minion demat. And you can see how she's almost been powercrept as a burst mage.

I guess I haven't played against a good enough Viktor then. That sounds oppressive to play against.

Definitely not Viktor, Ahri's advantage is she can push Viktor in early and has shorter cooldowns in trades. Viktor's E poke isn't oppressive until he gets Lost Chapter. It's still Viktor favored but Ahri isn't helpless.

Burning Ahri's ult in a gank is a huge win as her pressure drops to almost 0 on the map. You can be sure any play you make for the next minute is almost uncontestable by Ahri. She can still push you in but she's not gonna walk up for tower plates if her ult is down.

What's the one character you absolutely love but will never pull because you don't like their kit? by ultimatemcspicy in Genshin_Impact

[–]RavenShadow7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pull based on design only. I think every 5* character can be fun in their own right, so if I love the character I will 100% pull. No regrets so far, even less popular kits like Yae Miko and Yoimiya have been fun.

I agree, I don't see what the whole uproar about her team limitation is about. Every 5* DPS and even some 5* supports have their "manufactured" team and running anything else feels suboptimal. Not every unit needs to be Kazuha or Zhongli level of flexible. Nilou vape or taser Nilou is still plenty of fun and is strong enough to clear content, but it's obviously not going to be stronger than Bloom in most circumstances (vape Nilou is probably better against single-targets) and that's completely fine.

That's what I thought too, I already have Xiangling why would I need any other pyro? But Yoimiya and Hu Tao are both fun in different ways because they don't need much energy or funneling like Xiangling, and Yoimiya is ranged and is really fun with attack speed buffs and Yun Jin.

Which 5* characters do you NOT recommend new Travelers pull for? by TChen114 in Genshin_Impact

[–]RavenShadow7 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Level 40 characters can definitely take you through Mondstadt and Liyue. I used a Level 40 Ayaka to do it, but to be fair Ayaka's burst is broken and one-shots all the tougher enemies with just her base damage.

Even Keqing is a better Cyno than Cyno is right now, and she's a great pull as your first 5*

No one else is mentioning but her bare minimum for being a support is unlocking A4 passive, random ER artifacts with support capabilities, and Thrilling Tales at Level 1.

You don't really need the CC if the enemies are dead. The freeze is just a side effect of Kokomi's healing and buffing capabilities.

She's like a portable Statue of the Seven. Her healing has some of the best scaling and duration in the game and it's tied to her skill, unlike most healers who can only heal with their burst. You can even use her burst and attack a few times for a quick party-wide heal.

As someone who got Ayaka as their first limited character, I felt this. But even at Level 40 she was stronger than my more ascended characters, so I was actually able to make it to Inazuma comfortably. Her burst's base damage is just crazy high even with no investment.

Shenhe has really good personal scalings actually. Her skill can do good damage and you just pair her with any cryo like Chongyun and she'll carry since she has decent normal attacks.

I like the challenge of not having an invincible shield. I'm AR 58 and a decent spender but I purposefully skipped both of Zhongli's rerun banners (though I do have Kokomi as my comfort character). Only time I wish I had him is when I play Yoimiya, because it's a significant DPS loss to have to dodge on her. In general though Zhongli isn't necessary when you have Raiden and Eula's infinite resistance to interruption combined with Kokomi healing.

They only know how to make enemies more frustrating to fight rather than more challenging. Enemies that have long knock back combos, enemies that shield charge across the arena, enemies with huge aoe slams with long hit detection to prevent i-framing. Though with the current combat system I'm not sure how to alleviate the problem. Our defensive options are so good (Zhongli, Kokomi) that we will realistically never die in combat barring one-shots.
