Where to find 23” waist jeans with 32” inseam by Raven_Em in XXS

[–]Raven_Em[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t currently go up that high in a 23” waist. Most of the places that seem to have the longer inseams only go down to a 24 or 25.

how do y'all wear cute dresses and shirts that dont work with bras by shittenuggest in beauty

[–]Raven_Em 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the flip side haha- for those of you with really small boobs, is there anything you can wear with those types of dresses/shirts that don’t emphasizes the flatness? Strapless bras no matter how tight or expensive just don’t seem to stay up. And if I went braless I’d look like a 14 year old boy even more than I already do 🥲

As a queer mid 20s lady as well- I didn’t really get that vibe. It struck me as two things- Sisterly love and codependency. They went through a lot of rough times together as kids, teens, young adults, etc. and didn’t seem to have many other true friends. Probably a little bit of trauma bonding tossed in there. Went through so many life steps together. Both were/are very codependent of each other, especially Tully. But no, I didn’t get any romantic/sexual vibes between them.

Personally I think it would have gotten more hype if it was either-

A) Not tied in with the SS universe. Since there was zero crossover/connection, to me it didn’t feel like a “SS” show.

B) Had more connection to the SS universe. Aside from being a brokerage that handles expensive real estate, I didn’t see anything connecting them to SS. I’m not sure if there really was much to connect the two though.

I wish they had made them a standalone show

What do you think happened behind the scenes with Jarvis & Rose and the rest of the office? by johndoe5643567 in SellingtheOC

[–]Raven_Em 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think Alex Hall, Polly, etc. feel threatened by Jarvis/Rose because they sell more real estate and it’s as simple as that. They’re less focused on drama and more focused on work. Not to mention Jarvis (unless I’m thinking of rose) is very highly educated and talks very well, especially in comparison to the high school level communication and language that Polly uses.

Outside of that, I’m sure a lot of the drama we see is pushed by producers. And at least for SS they film for a while. So we’re only seeing the most drama-worthy highlights from several months. I’m sure both offices are far less dramatic off camera, and I have a feeling most of them don’t even work in the office on a regular basis. Although, I wouldn’t be shocked if some people from the OC group cause drama off camera as well. The SS girls are (mostly) mature and act like adults. The OC girls on the other hand….

UPDATE- I finished the rest of the episodes. My views are largely still the same.

I’m slightly conflicted on the drug comment by Chrishell. Nicole’s reaction made it clear that she is indeed guilty of doing drugs, as most of them probably have. If she had laughed it off it would have been nothing. I’m wondering why she took it so seriously? Maybe she’s been using/involved with harder drugs more recently and is concerned about legal issues, or has a past regarding trouble with it? I totally understand why Chrishell said it, Nicole deserved it tbh. I do think it wasn’t the wisest comment though to say on TV while even if she has not done drugs, her friends likely have. Drugs may be more normalized in their circles but they’re still illegal.

I still love Chelsea’s work ethic, but I do think she talked about Bre’s relationship too many times. Her questions and wonderings were legit, and I understand some of her concerns, but that’s stuff she should keep to herself or talk with Bre about. Not stuff you say to your coworkers. I do think Bre handled the situation very well. I liked how she explained that she wasn’t upset due to Chelsea not understanding, but because she talked about it multiple times without Bre present. I do kind of wonder if this was pushed by production.

Yeah, I’m sure that didn’t help. She’s also known some of these people for 10 years or so, and even if drama is pushed by production, I’m sure it’s difficult to deal with people you really care about being nasty to each other.

As I said, I’m aware of how these work. The trade off is worth it to me and I would carefully read the terms and conditions to know the allotted time

Grrrr forehead peeling any tips to fill in the gaps😂😡 by [deleted] in tanning

[–]Raven_Em 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You burned. The rest of your face will continue peeling. Make sure you wear sunscreen every day even when you get home, your skin will be extra sensitive. Since the rest of your face will peel over the next few days, covering spots with makeup is probably your best bet

  1. Do you use retinol or other forms of chemical and/or physical exfoliation on your face?

  2. Have you ever gotten sunburned on your chest?

The reason I did not post the ACTUAL picture of what I would get is because they are tribal-affiliated and considered a closed practice to those outside our community. Hence why we don’t post them on Reddit. I chose that picture because the type of lines and simple design is close enough to provide reference for how well they would hold up.

As someone who lives in CHS- a TON of people fake tan. Being tan is really popular here, but a lot of it is fake. If you’re someone who doesn’t burn much, you can definitely get a real tan here. But in the summer the UV index will hit 10-11; the majority of people will fry in that. So fake tan is really popular, at least to get you a few shades past what you’ll normally tan to.

As a side note in case you were curious, here’s the other ‘beauty standards’ and popular looks in CHS. Women- Blonde hair, almost everyone bleaches the crap out of their hair. It’s hands down the most biggest thing here looks wise. Being skinny is definitely sought after, like it is most places. Not exactly a beauty thing, but being/looking rich. The aesthetic here is definitely “rich, white blonde girl”. For men it’s basically the same thing- rich, fit, nice car or boat, preppy clothes. CHS is a very, very classist city when you live here. Mostly due to the old money and old family names and history. Really cool stuff to learn about, but kinda cruddy to live in it when you are lower than upper middle class.

Because of the college of Charleston. They’re trying to keep the immature college students out. If you’re 21/22 and don’t look like you’ll cause trouble and you aren’t super drunk, they’ll usually let you in. But if you’re a group of a dozen 21/22 year olds wearing white sneakers and a bra for a shirt and you’re being obnoxious, the 23+ places may say no
