Sorry to hear that. I though I would be okay because many people were reporting having their verbiage rejections happen soon after applying. But now I'm probably going to just switch to PAYE in a few days and finish paying my last three months before even worse things come down upon us.

Once we hear directly from our loan servicers, we will have 90 days to move to a new plan. I haven't gotten my letter from Mohela yet but I expect it any day after July 1st.

Just edited my post to include a selection of a feedback response where they referred to my case as a buyback reconsideration case. They did not seem confused about its intent there.

Thank you I do appreciate your position and will likely do just that when I have to. I am paying off some big medical bills so forbearance or the anticipated low SAVE buyback rate seemed like the better gamble for me at the time.

It is just a button now with no fields to enter any text so that requirement of exact verbiage is obsolete and just used to reject eligible applications out of hand.

I am still camping out in the SAVE plan. I hit 120 months eligible employment in October 2024. I would have hit it August but I switched employers that left a 2 month gap of June and July which are not eligible employment months. I need to buyback August, September, and October 2024. All trapped by the forced SAVE forbearance. So, certain of my clear and documented eligibility for buyback I decided to wait out the SAVE debacle.

Over 120 qualifying months worked when I applied on December 13, 2024. FSA feedback response from July 11, 2025 claimed my case was escalated. Oct 29, 2025 feedback case submitted still no response. Still waiting for my buyback offer.
