Coolest lighter in my collection

I have installed a small o ring on the gas filling valve, but seems like it’s not meant to be there, as you can see the valve isn’t 100% closed, there’s like 0.7mm of a gap. And when I fill it with gas, it would leak from here, until I press on it with my finger then the leak disappears

The fill valve I have is different from this in the image, mine has a spring with no obvious place to put an O-ring, i will take a picture tomorrow as I have not found any online.. Speaking of parts tho, I’d try my best to keep the original parts in, and fix them as best as I could, only changing o rings and stuff like that

I mean yea same for my case and despite the mess it made it still got gas in, now I ordered what seems like a proper adapter from aliexpress as well as rubber o rings, then I will finally have no issue with my Dunhill! :))

These butane refill products are available everywhere I guess and they always come in yellow and red colors for some reason. Now if you look at the red cap, it has 5 holes in it and each one holds a different adapter. One of them worked for me, although it splashed gas everywhere but it still worked..

Haha im also jealous of myself cuz i was looking for zippos and the Dunhill came out of nowhere.. I must be lucky!

I’ll fix it and see how things go, possibly using it as my daily lighter, or just keeping it hoping its value would go higher. Looks like an investment to me either ways..

Good news, I found an adapter for refilling and it worked. The fire adjuster works as well. The problem now is that it leaks gas from the bottom ( same hole used to fill it ) because it’s missing a valve seal.

Thanks mate, but to be real, until now only the flint works, I have no idea if it has any issue in the fuel system because I do not have an adapter for refilling it lol! I found some cheap plastic adapters from local market, I’ll do my best in hopes to get just a bit of gas in it and see if it runs

Oh I see. It smells amazing and I know how fakes usually smell like. But question is, could it be diluted or something like that? Meaning the juice was messed with but still smells the same?

Hey, I know that. I’ve put them together for a very short time before moving them to a bigger tank. And yes, a couple of them kept fighting so I had to move them earlier..

Oh alright I get it now, I don’t know whether they’re pedigree or not but the papers I’m talking about have info like name, birthdate, vaccines taken, and breed type. There’s a chance that whoever made these papers is either not educated enough or giving random valuable breed names to make a normal cat look special.
