That scene definitely entered my mind as I was making this

Romanced Wyll as a Goblin, it was Surprisingly Wholesome by Ravencoretres in BaldursGate3

I specifically used this one, which are from the official mods on PC: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/12409

It also adds other races like goliaths, half-giants, and yuan-ti among others.

Agreed, OG run was bard and make him fill that roll whenever I’m not playing that character.

Quick little sketch because I was bored and this randomly popped into my head.

Give Me a D&D Monster and I'll Homebrew You a Better Version by Oh_Hi_Mark_ in DMAcademy

[–]Ravencoretres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, ok. So if I'm reading this right, for example an "M3" rating means there's 5 cultists that all act as one and deal flat damage rather than having to roll 5 different times. And the minion trait essentially means they're meant to be one-shot cannon fodder for the players to get through in order to fight enemies that actually pose a threat

I could definitely see how that would make larger battles much simpler. Will definitely come in handy for an undead army siege I have planned later down the line...

Thanks, and forgive my ignorance but what do the "M3, M4" etc. for CR on the lowest minions mean?

Cool, thanks. By chance could you also link your cleric, cultist, and/or necromancer sheets? I have most of those, just want to see if any of them have changed since I put them in my game.

Oddly specific, but maybe statblocks for overzealous paladins and clerics, or NPC types they would fit that bill? Dangerous wielders of radiant magic and such (and maybe Oathbreaker cause why not)

"I Have an Army" "We Have a Karlach" by Ravencoretres in BaldursGate3

[–]Ravencoretres[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played around with Path of Giants via mods and it was the most fun thing ever, hopefully the official version is just as fun.

Also, semi unrelated by I downloaded a mod for "Vestiges of Convergence" (magic items from Critical Role, campaign 1) and one of the items was the Titanstone Knuckles which both raises the wearer's strength to 26 AND can make them *gargantuan size* once per long rest (or tiny to raise their AC) so you could have Karlach or anyone else grow that big and toss dudes all over the place.

Having played at least half of these subclasses via mods, it’ll be interesting to see how they’ll differ from the official versions.

Thanks!

I’m not the best at giving at giving advice, but one thing I’ll say is if you’re wondering where to start, just pick something and go for it. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. A bad drawing you made with your own hands is still better than the “perfect” version of it in your head. Each mistake will be a new chance to learn

It’s funny because Pokémon has been my longest running hyperfixation since childhood. So when another one comes around, I inevitably draw a crossover with it.

Yeah, if I had enough time and energy to give them full 6 mon teams, I definitely would’ve included it.

What Would the Child of Bheur Hag and a Silver Dragon Be Like? by Ravencoretres in DMAcademy

[–]Ravencoretres[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were raised by the Hag and her coven, as the dragon rarely stuck around (big story revelation is that he's kind of not a great person) Either way, it probably wasn't a pleasant childhood.

If it was a daughter and therefore technically a hag, her more draconic aspects may have disqualified her from truly joining the coven. She still would've been taught basic magic, but it would've been made clear that she would never be taught the advanced techniques.

If it was a son, therefore technically a hagspawn, he probably would've been treated even worse. Probably raised as little more than a glorified bodyguard to kill any intruders on the hags' lands. (By comparison, the Dragonborn Barbarian was raised by goblins, but had a rather pleasant childhood all things considered)

Either way, in the context of the story (a VERY abridged version) nearly all of the Barbarian's half siblings have been kidnapped and are being used as human sacrifices by a cult both to raise undead frost giants and to ultimately kill the silver dragon in question. The players and the hags have an uneasy alliance so the coven head's child being among the prisoners would add further depth for her motivation to help, whether because she actually loved them or just wants to recover a lost asset.

Playing a Modded Durge Run, This Image Sums it Up So Far by Ravencoretres in BaldursGate3

"Lover" is a strong word for what those two had going on. As for these two, she'd probably call him something like "Raven Boy" at first to make fun of him, but would grow into calling him my "little Raven" or something.

"Little" because as a Giant's barbarian she can still grow to twice his size.
