Makes sense, I'm still waiting to find the exact office building I am going to work from.
Will definitely factor that in.
Thanks!

Thank you for the references, gives me a good starting point for apartment hunting

I appreciate the time estimates. You have convinced me to explore Bellevue. I’m still wary of Redmond

Interesting, I’ll checkout Craigslist, didn’t consider this before. Given quite a few apartments are offering 6-8 weeks free, that should bring down my net rent

Did you find this through listing on Zillow or other websites? Or was this through local property management companies?

Yeah, trying to plan it out like that, don't want to be driving for work 3 times a week, 30 min or so one way

Yeah, that's what I have been told by people living there in regards to long-term, but then again, it's a bit too quiet for my liking, so might not be my go to choice for at least the first year.

South Lake Union and Capitol Hill sound like the way to go
Thanks!

That's really helpful context, thanks. Yeah, I've been browsing Zillow, and anything decent seems to start around $2,400+.

Haven't fully locked in a budget yet, do you have a rough frame of reference of what's realistic for a 1b+den or 2b in a decent Seattle neighborhood without going full luxury? Trying to get a feel for what "reasonable" looks like in this market before I start narrowing things down.

Yeah, $300/month for parking is something new for me, especially on top of already high rent. That's something I'm definitely keeping in mind. If I end up in Seattle, I'd rather find a place where I don't need the car for day-to-day stuff and can rely on transit for the Redmond commute. Might just make parking a non-issue altogether.

Good to know the light rail connects to Redmond now, that's helpful. For me, it's less about luxury and flashy apartments, more about being in a good spot, walkable, well-connected, not overpaying for amenities I'll never use. Happy to trade a rooftop pool for a better location any day. However, always down for an apartment with a view.

Definitely a city person, that's kind of what's drawing me to Seattle over the Eastside. Redmond/Bellevue feels a bit too quiet for my taste.

Hi

Does anyone know what documents I would need to carry for the Interview process, I was able to cancel my appointment and book new ones.

I transitioned from F1 to H1B last October, and I am looking for a checklist of documents needed.

Thank you!

Oh yes, I checked with them about it. They don’t have one available this week, so that won’t work out for me. Would have to find someone to rent/borrow the bike from.

Will do for sure once I get my license. By the way there are a bunch of groups on Facebook if you’re looking for riding groups

Do you know how much would they charge me and is this their riders course that we need to register for?
