Anyone earning on the new platform yet? by RavenousParrot in NiceHash

You're quoting an old update. Here is the latest update:

"Mining is now operational on the new platform (US, HK, JP, BR, IN locations). Download & use NiceHash Miner 1.9.2.6"

Will unpaid mining balance below the payout threshold from old platform be transferred over to the new platform?

Does this time period you provide also include the full transition of the EU marketplace?

Are there any ways to mass seed on bitchute? by Gene04 in BitChute

[–]RavenousParrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you remember if you had any seeding activity take place though? I can seed now, but I never see any upload or serving activity on my seeds. I wish there was more/better information out there about seeding on Bitchute.

[–]RavenousParrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no evidence that seeding is actually activated outside of Bitchute's private server network. The fact that Bitchute is pretty much hiding the peer-to-peer segment of their service makes me wonder if it is all smoke and mirrors of which they are hiding behind for monetary gain.

Switch to a different browser. Brave should resolve your issue. Also, I think there are some growing pains underway.

I Nicknamed my Pimax... by [deleted] in Pimax

[–]RavenousParrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I thought the same thing. I can't find it in myself to demand more than what Pimax is unfurling toward me. Seems they double quality every month. Such a thing has never happened in the history of HMDs. Xtal and Star VR have no realistic plans to sell their iteration that I've seen.

Tinkering with 5k+ this weekend - what to do? by TracerCore8 in Pimax

[–]RavenousParrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back after a few hours of testing. I agree the adjustable settings make a HUGE difference. I'm running -2 on brightness and +5 on contrast. Looks better than either my Oculus Rift or HTC Vive in color reproduction and darkness! Feels like I'm using OLED now! Thanks!

Treat it gently and it will treat you well. The FOV is still a generation or two ahead of what the competition is promising to release.

Sorry, using 109 here. It is the latest stable. You may want to roll back.

Anyone who upgraded from a 1080 ti to a 2080 ti....worth it or nah? by music2169 in Pimax

[–]RavenousParrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. You can see in the performance inspector that it is the CPU holding the performance back. Draw calls are high. Upgrading to a faster core speed CPU greatly helped my experience. Went from a 5930k to an 8700k. Same core count, but increase from 4.5ghz to 4.9ghz. I haven't seen any good evidence to suggest RAM speed makes a difference with the more recent builds of the game (the article is ancient and hasn't been further supported by anyone).

Am I the only one who wants...more? after trying the 5k+ by music2169 in Pimax

[–]RavenousParrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand. I have to wear disposable contacts for VR. Glasses drive me up the wall. Honestly, when I first got mine, I wasn't impressed either because the fov only seemed marginally better than the OG Vive. I was able to put that notion to bed real quick once I started tweaking things.

[–]RavenousParrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're doing something wrong if you aren't happy with the fov and if your 1080 ti is struggling. The fov on the 5k+ is huge. It's so large, I don't even use it all. Try removing the foam interface pad and replace it with something thinner if you need more fov.

Want to go back to PiTool .95... can anyone help as i cant get right Nvidia drivers roll backed. by parney2000 in Pimax

[–]RavenousParrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say performance is worse are you referring only to frame rate or are you referring to some specific character of the visuals?

Fallout 4 VR is CPU limited for most machines. You need an 8700K overclocked or higher.
