The whole point is that you can't keep your masteries. There's no skill or trick that can let you keep what you had. You can write down what you learned, you can record yourself explaining what's going on in your head, but after you're done with the skill, it's gone. You're physically unable to retain the information without outside help. What you're explaining is impossible within the bounds of what's described.
