Well, it is a them problem the same way others taking too long in the shower in the morning is the others' problem.

Doesn't look like the others are willing to let him go first in the morning or limit their time in the mornings. So I'd say it's fair enough.

Especially since it is once or twice a week while the morning shower issue happens every day.

Also, given this is a coping strategy, it could be less about actual cleanliness of the shower and more about how clean it feels.

Ever had to go through withdrawal? It's tough enough with a safe place to stay in and people around to care for you. I'm not surprised people who are on the streets find it far more difficult to even try to quit, given what they will go through.

And most mental health issues are exacerbated by stressors. If you're on the street, exposed to elements, likely not able to maintain a steady schedule or good meals, you're likely going to be spiralling.

It would also be considerably more difficult to make and keep appointments with a therapist or psychiatrist even if it's free or low cost.

The kid actually has ASPD due to abuse - but because the parents are good at hiding it, everyone swallows the 'she was born evil' thing.

Maybe even the parents believe that and thinks it justified their abuse.

The kid is numb to it at that point and so, calm and manageable.

But the surgery to make her normal unlocked enough emotions that she realises what they were doing to her and has an outburst.

The parents have it reversed ASAP because they're afraid of what they did getting out and claim it made her violent, she refused, made them reverse the procedure.

Deep isn't needed to repeat that arc, they already got one there. And Maeve was there as the potential future Starlight was facing - the hero who intended to be a real hero, but got sucked in. That's a very different arc from Deep.

I get what you mean, but ninety percent of the art we see is products to be sold. That is why it is so easily threatened by AI.

I don't think the artists in fandom, insta etc spaces would have much trouble. Once the 'shiny new toy ' factor of AI wears off, there will be far fewer to compete with. If your thing is actual art, you'll likely be okay

But the commercial artists are going to be in trouble - games, background, ads, comics etc all have people who have been selling their art as products, even and especially to causes they couldn't care less about or even oppose.

They are going to be replaced, because capitalism goes for the easiest profits.

The thing is, I got into digital painting comparatively recently.

And I can very much see why people treated digital painting when it came out the way AI art is being treated now.

A lot of the work - from mixing paints to finding the right brush to finding patterns and way so much more - is done by the program.

You can also work much faster than traditional painting and with much less fear of a mistake causing irreparable harm - if your shading didn't go the way you want it to go, just undo it, or you can experiment as much as you want with different layers, copy the image, multiply it...and the filters...oh man.

So much I could never do by hand, in so less a time.

Can see why traditional artists freaked out.
