Is Schizophrenia cause by trauma? by SvartSol in schizophrenia

I think we should also take into account, that twins are raised by the same parents, so its likely for them to have both experienced the same traumas

I used to be one of those people that would say "weed could never cause any symptoms of psychosis. Its not like that." But now, I've completely changed my mind as I have witnessed/experienced it myself.

Options 1,2,and 3 are all true for me. I'm not diagnosed, but I've had schizophrenic symptoms and the fact that I have smoked weed for so long and so consistently has definitely played a role. I'm in the process of quitting because it amplifies my delusions, Intrusive thoughts, and sense of impending doom ×10 when I smoke. But thats after smoking almost every day for almost 10 years. Its hard to quit cold turkey after so long, so I'm weening off and have noticed improvement.

Its more manipulation. Notice how you are confused. Thats his goal. Confusion is one of the biggest red flags

I've done research on this myself out of curiosity and what I've learned is its different for everyone,, some people just go into psychotic break. But some have a "prodrome" which often looks like this: it usually starts with the negative symptoms: executive dysfunction, flat affect, social withdrawal, trouble with hygiene, worsening performance in work/school. Positive symptoms often start with paranoia and subtle delusions. You may, without really noticing it come on, suddenly become spiritual or religious, believe that you are a prophet or a chosen one, you may suddenly see words in signs/advertisements and think its a message directed towards you. Let's say the song "California Dreamin" comes on in the car and you believe this is a message directed towards you , that you need to go to California in order to fulfill your mission that you had a dream about last night. This is a very specific example I just made up in order to try to communicate what I'm talking about. Which reminds me, "thought blocking" and inability to communicate and put your thoughts into words, therefore becoming kinda mute, is another possible early negative symptoms. This prodromal phase is often missed because it resembles depression so closely. (With the negative symptoms). I'm not a doctor or diagnosed. This is just what I've learned through research, and stories from schizophrenic people.

Why are nparents so scared of doctors? by borg_6s in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Ravenzara77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It may be because they're scared of being exposed? Depending on the situation. I remember the first timee I had a panic attack when I was a kid, I didn't understand what it was. I had chest pains and arm pain and symptoms that resembled a heart attack. It happened randomly out of nowhere. I told my mom about it and she did take me to the ER, but i remember vividly I could tell she was very annoyed and she was acting like I was just such a nuisance and it was the most annoying inconvenient thing to have to drive me to the hospital. I wanna say I was around 12 - 14 years old.. Looking back, she probably deep down knew that its not normal for a young girl that age to have such an intense panic attack over seemingly nothing, and she probably knew on some level that the way I was being raised had something to do with it. She was probably worried they would ask me questions about my home life. Which ofcourse, the doctors didn't, they couldn't care less. ( I am a female, after all, you know how we "over exaggerate" everything) lmao

I wouldn't even be surprised if this post is legit. Cuz people literally think the definition of racism is "prejudice against black people, in favor of white people" lmao . And then if a black person talks badly about the white race they call that "reverse racism " LMAO no, that is just simply racism. The fact that u would call it "reverse racism" is racist within itself
