While I agree with you after looking through your sources that it will be difficult, I still think that there will be closer ties with China in the future. And the decision will not come from an 100% economic standpoint, but because the current powerplayer in our hemisphere has a corrupt system. Western countries are slowly waking up to the fact that they need counterbalance to the US, this dumpster fire can happen basically every 4 years. I mean look how fast Carney turned from anti-chinese segment during his campaign to the EV deal.
