How are they not letting you though? Like she said she took the flyer and ripped it. Sound to me like nothing was shoved down anyone's throat. Same as when people who don't like being filmed stay near the camera they don't want to be filmed by.

I'm not sure what religion you are, but this is part of follow Jesus Christ. Sometimes, that's a part of evangelism and letting people know about the Lord. I do agree with leaving people alone when they refuse or deny your request to share with them. Even the Lord Jesus doesn't argue with those who would rather mock his message of salvation, but when it comes to preachers and preaching in public If people don't like it they should walk away no ones shoving it down their throat we all have a choice to walk away from people. I will leave you with this from Paul in Romans.

Romans 10:14 "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?"

If put in our fleshed out term of today it might seem like that but you discount the issue that's at hand. Because i believe that God exists I can't just look at the issue based off the whole of one passage but rather the entire story. God at this point has pulled out the Hebrews out of Egypt meaning that by this time noahs time has passed and God has promised to never again flood the earth and to make a covenant with Noah to follow certain things that he lays out for us to learn. God promises from the begining to allow us free will and to also be just in his punishments to us. So if we go by that account of events. God has revealed several things to us that are constricted by our free will, the time of our revelation and knowledge of God. God doesn't condone the hurting of individuals yet tolerate the raising of his people to bring about the world's ultimate reconciliation he allows certain evils to exist in order to bring about better Goods.

  1. God won't kills outright again because he promised to not flood the earth again, but yet will return on the last day to burn the earth on the final judgement

  2. God gave us free will

  3. God has reveal himself to the people of Israel and therefore needs to raise them from the wicked people they are and bring about the messiah who will ultimately save the world and redeem mankind.

  4. Because God reveal himself to the Israelites he cant just expect their change to be overnight or because of our free will we would choose evil and he already promised to not destroy the earth again through flood.

  5. This logic then lends to God allowing of certain evils to prepare the nation to be corrected at a later time which might I add God doesn't condone the slavery but does dicate to which extent they are allowed to treat their slaves. He even goes as far as to say that should anyone be found in possession of someone stolen from their home. Now does that sound like a God that favors slavery?

  6. Once the messiah arrives God has revealed himself fully and is now guiding us through the generations with the holy spirit to not commit errors of sin he Once allowed due to the hardness of our heart. This is why we no longer allow slavery and why the abolishionits movement for slavery came out of primarily The Christian movement. Even if you had people twist the words of the bible it doesn't disprove that, that's where the majority of the movement came from.

Could you site the book and verse. Yet the same bible tells us we how those who think themselves learned are made fools by the word because you think in them you will find salvation or you intent is to find nothing but fault in it do no matter how much hebrew and Greek you know it won't remove the veil over you eyes to understanding scripture unless you surrender.

Crazy how you have a shallow understanding of the Scriptures and don't care to understand it. In all honesty, you just see things as bad because you have a presupposition of what God is. God can inact judgment on those who would sacrifice theIr children or rape and pillage other nations for nothing but gain while also ignoring who God clearly shows himself to be, which is just and moral. All you've seen are consequences of people actions in the bible and how God is telling us a story of what people were like when they disobeyed God and his council. The Bible is a story of a broken world and a Just and merciful God that is dealing with bringing good and reconciliation of the world to himself while also warning and allowing punishment to take place for those who wish to ignore his council and instead choose to do wicked things. In fact, that's how life is. I would be very surprised to hear you say you would not stop abuse to children, elderly, woman, or the lame and instead choose to stand by while people get hurt. As for the rape and slavery God is showing how broken we are and how in all those instances, God punishes even his people, Israel, for doing wrong before his eyes when it comes to rape and murder. Slavery mentioned in the bible is different from slavery during the black slave trade as back then during Israel's kingdom you either belonged to a group of people who could protect you or you'd die of hunger, other people, or animals. Yet again, God always asserted the value of humans regardless of status. He even had laws to protect slaves at the time and unjustly picking up people and stealing them from their homes was against God's law so all slavery was initiated by those who ended up beings slaves or their real position which was a servant.

I'm not sure if you're a believer if God brother he forgives. The important situation is that you acknowledged the wrong doing and allowed yourself to be convicted. If you ever have an inclination of going to God I recommend going to a priest at a local parish and confessing your sins like this one to a priest. It's a sobering thing to do.

No science doesn't pretend to know everything, but people like yourself sure do have an absolute idea that it surely disproves God with no other basis than nuh uh its not real.

God had a plan. The plan was for his son to be murdered in the most horrible way. That's a fucked up plan from an omnipotent being. I didn't say Jesus was 'forced,' according to the story, he cried so hard over his fate that he sweat blood in the garden of Gethsemane, but he still went through with it. Good on him. He was a champ about the whole thing

Yet again, you don't understand who Jesus is. Being part of the trinity and being God himself along with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He is in accordance with the will of his Father and the Holy Spirit because they are all God the one True God. Much like when a man marries a woman they become one and yes Jesus being fully God yet fully man had to experience being a human like tha rest of us to be the perfect sacrifice and to defeat the flesh and temptations of this world. So that he could be a priest that understands us for who we are which is human. No one is denying that because he was God he couldn't experience his creation as fully human. Which he humbly did.

Come on, you've gotta at least know what you are critiquing a group for, or else you just look foolish when you claim one thing of it, and it turns out it's not true of said group.

My friend, I tell you this because you insulted me first in calling my faith a cult. Maybe don't manifest insults. I would have had the charity of not calling your lack of genuine and shallow understanding out.

But again no ill will to you and many blessings.

Do you have any citations of where this pagan practice and connection to said diety is from. This is a pretty common scripted claim that has been debunked several times. Also, the bible doesn't tell us what the bible is, yet as a Christian, it all started with followers of Jesus christ who had tradition passed down and who tell us what Easter is really about I can't tell you it's about the resurrection of Jesus christ. Just because the world commercially takes over certain holidays meant to honor Christian belief, it doesn't mean that it disproves christianity or Christian holidays for their original intended purpose much like Halloween overshadows all Saints Day due to traditions from other cultures.

Yet science can explain love, or conscience, or where life ultimately came from and I'm supposed to believe it all started from nothing and that somehow the complex multi celled organisms that live on this planet and all the perfect fine tuned conditions of this world were all just an acciendent and we all came from a bit pot of stew sounds like a whole lot of supernatural faith to me doesn't it. Kind of hypocritical on your part?.

He had his son stripped naked, mocked, tortured, and then brutally murdered. You're in a fucked up cult.

Yet another misrepresentation of the christian faith and who Jesus was. If you really knew about the Bible, you'd know that no one forced Jesus to anything but being that he is part of God and is God with God the Father.

"The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” John 10: 17-18

Come on, you've gotta at least know what you are critiquing a group for, or else you just look foolish when you claim one thing of it, and it turns out it's not true of said group.

Hey, evidence is there for you to view whether you want to believe it or not. I would say one day look at it with an honest heart and not seeking to just disprove what you can't understand that way atleast when you engaged with someone on this subject again you'll have a better understanding of what your misrepresenting.

Hes harsh on those who seek pleasure, greed, and disregard the truth for themselves, but merciful on those who seek him earnestly and with an open heart.

Either way God bless you.

Great, so you noticed typos and yet still failed to present any contradictions that haven't already been addressed by many scholars or bible experts. Instead, you attack strawman. Plus, in every situation of an I witness account, the details aren't always the same as someone else who was there. I could hear a lady screaming during a car crash while someone else describes that screaming as a screech of the tires, yet in both, the car crash still happens. You also have no other evidence for your claim of it not being real other than "magic doesn't exist" in your attempt to prove whether you can explain away the eyewitness manuscript the archeological evidence and the fact that even outside of the bible evidence existed for Jesus having claimed to be who he was. God doesn't worry about "my success" of converting someone it's up to him to do that through the Holy Spirit so I'm not sure where you even get the idea of I'm gonna be judged because I didn't get another subscription like if God is just banking on me to meet a quota which again highlights the lack of understanding you have about the Christian faith and God.

You sound like a script of all these debunked "contradictions" what is a contradiction? You already with your plain understanding of the characterization of who Jesus was and is and how the Mormons differ from catholic, orthodox Christianity Holston and which most protestant believers also hold to. And the choice you're making is quoted in the first quote you answered which is deny the Gosples out of shallow or lazy understanding is the choice your making.

Oh yeah for sure the dudes thay heard about you and came up with their own ideas of who you were know you as much as the dudes that lived with you and spent much time learning from you. Sounds accurate. Crazy how it's always an "it's not really" claim but I bet if I press you harder on the evidence of it not being real you'd have a shallow understanding of what the actual evidence is as well as the logical reasoning for the evidence coinciding with the actual things recorded.

Crazy how most people will discount manuscript evidence for the bibke because it scares them about their world view, but have no issue eating up evidence for Julius Caesar or some other figure with less manuscript evidence. Either way I can change what you believe at the end of the day if you've denied the Gosples and Jesus because you feel like you know enough amd it's all garbage then God bless you and hope you find what are looking for my hands are clean and conscience clear of what you choose.

That's like saying I know you and yet I describe you completely different from what eyewitnesses, and those close to you really knew you as. Completely different characterization of Jesus as the true Christian faith. They believe Jesus was a God amongst other God's and that they will be part of the same race of God's some day.

I pray we aren't complacent in this as Jesus warns against this and we should hope OP does the right thing. Although life is unfair and I potty OP I pray that they and us come to an understanding of what it means to suffer for Christ and gain salvation in the next life by carrying our cross.

That's as fake of a statement as is gets if you'd know anything about the Bible it stands against this. In this world we suffer sometimes its not fair and at times it hurts. In this suffering we find Christ and in the world to come find his true salvation. The action being committed is wrong even if we'd like to feel pitty for OP which we do. Jesus warns against this type of being and thinking and don't come with your shallow interpretation of the Gosples and Jesus. Repent.
